hi, i've got a nokia 6230. it's a great phone, but i can't download my phone contacts to a pc. it only downloads about 3 contacts. can someone tell me what's wrong, cos my friend's own works perfectly well..

where can I find the 5.24 or 5.35 version of the firmware??

So far i cant find any phone better than this. It is a very good phone.
To find out your firmware version type the following on the open screen. *#0000#
earlier firmware versions like 3.15, 4.43 music player didnt search the mp3 files in the MMC card. You have to upgrade to 5.24 or 5.35 or latest 5.50.
You can use 1gb MMC card with latest firmware without any problem. I am using 1gb card brand NCP. On problem at all. I have stored 150mp3 songs 20 video songs and lots of tones pictures... Etc. Still the speed is same as ever like lightening...!
Camera quality could not be increased. Because to minimize the file size in recording the video, the video bit rate is optimized to 50bits per second. So if you are recording fast moving scenes, some blurr is there. If you record stable objects with slow moving, the quality seems better. The best quality bitrate for this phone is 118bitrate per second. But the file size would be 1mb for 1minute. Thats is why nokia decided to reduce the size by compromising with the bitrate. If you convert a file to 3gp with bitrate of 118 you can see the good quality video. Themes and all hardware based. So you cant get it by updating to 5.50.
