i have a 6230 and a jost receaved a mmc.... i have all my mp3songs on it but i can`t play them with the mpl3player, because the phone whon`t let me chose wherefrom he should play the songs....what can i do??? a software upgrade would help??? please help me

In regards to your problem it could be a simple matter where your headset is not switched on. You need to fill me in letting me know the steps you have taken so far in trying to get your headset and phone to work together, then I will further be able to assit you. Take care.

Hi ppl. I'm writing from the island of Jamaica and I received my Nokia 6230 in January and since then I'v been tryin 2 find out how 2 pair the bluetooth earpiece wit my handst. Can any1 giv some instructions? Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!

This fone permits use of 1Gb MMC Cards. Just remember to get a nice card which has good read / write speed. This will give better and fast response from the phone..

hi, I have a problem with my Nokia 6230, maybe one of you can help me out. I just moved from Europe to the US, taking the Nokia 6230 I purchased one year ago in Europe with me. I started a contract with T-Mobile here in the US. The problem: People who have Sprint or Verizon as their service provider cannot call me! I have no problem receiving calls from T-Mobile or Cingular people though. I suspect this has something to do with the former being CDMA networks and the latter being GSM networks. But as the Nokia 6230 is a tri-band-phone working on 900, 1800 and 1900 frequencies, I should be fine, right?
Making calls from my phone to anyone works fine. But when Verizon or Sprint people try to call me, a tiny telephone symbol appears for a split-second in the top left corner of my Nokia's display, and that's it, no ringing, no chance to pick up. The callers hears message like "subscriber is out of the covered area" or something, they can't even leave a voice message. (They can leave a message though when I turn off my phone, which is weird.)
I talked to Nokia and T-Mobile, and both say, it's not their problem. What can I do? Is my phone just not suited for the US, is it broken or do I just have to change some setting?

I heard alot about this mobile and then i got it. And this phone is great. I has great and wonderful features even the screen is 128*128 but it is still the master. and we can install songs, video songs, video recording, great camera.

Nokia 6230 is a best phone till today. I just had purchased a 1GB MMC CARD brand NCP and it is working perfectly. It stored 150mp3 songs and 20 video songs tones, graphics etc., i had flashed the software version 5.35. This solves all the previous problems. Now it is the perfect multimedia phone. It is the fastest and stable phone.

well i just got this fone, cause i thought that compared to other fones more expensive than this lack most of the features of this.
well this fone is the best i have used and seen, of course there are others, but this is satisfaction gauranteed, my firmware version is 5.50 and i have no errors in operation, can't wait to buy a bigger memory card for it. this is a great buy, the 6230i is even greater. the only way i am getting a new fone is of this stop works or the fone companies in my country finally go 3G, so i can buy a series 60 3G fone. this fone is the shizznit..

I've had this phone for 2.5 years.. pretty much from the launch date. I has been my best phone yet. Compared to new 2006 phones it still is right up there, but unfortunately the camera and screen size is lacking. But for quality and features for its day this phone was the best!
p.s three years later and the battery still goes days and holds its charge.
