ok, well i had this phone for about 7 months tops & as soon as i got it, my bluetooth went psycho. i couldnt send big files, whenever i do it said 'sending failed', but after a few months when i kept send mp3 files(over 2mb) the phone kept switching off & came back on for itself (via bluetooth). now nokia, that is very embarrassing because some phone dont have infared even though i had to resort to using infared. Again, the MultiMedia Card, while i kept filling the memory it started moving slow whenever i enter, exit, save or delete files. this is also shocking to see from a nokia phone, i can emagine what is happening to the 6230i. Camera is awful compared to other brands. Well, look in the bright side- battery life's good, kinda loud speaker, ok design etc. Thank god i got rid of it. one less worries. well ppl, try it if im wrong!
One of the best phones i had.Biggest mistake to trade it for a 6600.
i need 2 no how 2 change from internal memory 2 memory card memory.please reply soon.
nokia said it will blow up if u insert 1-2gb memory cards but tried and its fine.
This is one of the greatest phones designed by nokia. It incorporates all the things you would need in everyday life. keep up the great work over there at Nokia
The flawless phone ! .. good price and good features and if u're bored with the old look u can change the skin with a 6230i coz its fully compatible. The mid-select button becomes easy to press besides u can show off 1.3 mp camera !
Theres only one thing I would change in this phone: its headset loudness! Its too low to hear in the street.
this phone real dred....i want one.!! looking for sponsors:) it has everything someone could want in a phone..bluetooth,camera,fm radio,..did i mention bluetooth....,yea well bluetooth:) the only thing i could complain about is the fact this phone isn't Quad Band, and in conclusion,if this phone had Quad Band,it'd be flawless...never the less, i love it alot and want one:)
this phone is an element of perfection. I live in Trinidad and Tobago, this handset is one of the top phones. i am also working in the telecommunications industry and i have my knowledge of phones has proven revealed why this phone is the best.Mad Props to Nokia
I have had this phone for awhile, i work with all the new phones etc. But i have to say i still love my phone, its more than what i need. and has what i want. It is my memory for birthdays, reminders etc. has bluetooth, camera, and loudspeaker.
Though all these new phones seems all that, and i have to admit the new N70 is awesome, and i dream of it(haha). this phone still kicks ass!
I just bought a Plantronics Discovery 640 bluetooth, and i 'm having a lot of problems setting it up. I went online, and the instructions said to put in a passcode but nowhere on the nokia 6230 ask to put it in. So if anyone is a pro with setting up bluetooth please I need your help.
hi, is there any way i can access the internet on my phone using the wap setting on my phone? if so plz let me no.
thanks in advance.
I have been using this phone for the part one year now and there has not been any major fault. The only thing I observed is that, it restarts on its own when been used for quite a long time. I wont blame the phone as I just wont allow it to rest. It is one of the best phones that Nokia has manufactured. Like the other phones, it comes with its limits as the mobile phone companies are not fools (excuse me to say) to add everything you need to one particular phone. Today you have 32mb mmc with 128x128 display, radio, mp3 and camera, tomorrow 64mb with 178x208 display without radio but mp3 with camera, next day 128mb with 240x320 with tv, mp3 with camera as well. This is what prompts you to buy phone year after year. Though I love my Nokia6230, I wish I can take video for an hour, have bigger display with about 512mb mmc. This would have been lovely and splendid. No matter what, I also have to think about the coming N-Series to be abbrest with time but I still love my phone.
I know why youor phone do not allow you to have songs or other data more than 2Mb. It is bcasue of th version of your cell bluetooth, the old bluetooth can just transfer to 2Mb data at once, that's thier limit, but the new one have the limits to 10Mb. so it is not up to phone to get it the bluetooth do not allow it. try cable or IrDA. Good luck
