why do i keep saying things twice when i'm on the phone oh yeh i forgot i'm talking on a 6230 that would explain it then lol echoing piece of garbage phone!
thx pal.but how do u remove it?im afraid i break something or damage the phone.do u remove it like a 3310(very simple) or its like a 6600?
ya the panel is changeable, so u can remove both rear & front covers & clean the dust.
& as far as 512 mb mmc is concerned, i just gave my 256 mb card for a new 512, although i was a bit afraid but the 512 card i8s working rally fine, i 'v stored almost 110 mp3 tracks in it. the only problem that i had is that it does not shows the proper memory allocation, i mean on my phone the card size is shown as 80 mb but i can use 489 mb of memory space on my mmc. so there's no problem.
Another thing as i have 110 mp3 tracks, so whenever i switch on my phone on turn on the 'Music Player' it takes almost 30 secs to read all the tracks.
But i m just satisfied.!!!!
Can the cover be opened up so the dust can be easily cleaned off from the screen????any1 reply please.thx
hello everyone.i just got my 6230.just too great.its quite better than the sontericsson k700i!
andy, if you have enough $$$, get the 512Mb card. Trust me. Just make sure it's a good memory card. Just like my previous post - i have personal experience that a cheap 256Mb gave a very, very bad performance - nothing to do with the phone, but my good 512Mb card gave lightning quick responses. Buy yourself a card-reader too, if you're a music lover or multimedia junkie, you'll not regret it.
hi andy ;)
have a look here:
but i use 256mb(extereme)and very fine and work perfect
My phone uses 512Mb RS MMC (with adapter, of course) from Apacer. It works fine. I had no problems at all. Then again, my phone is running on firmware ver 5.35.
My wife's phone is running on 256Mb MMC - a cheap brand - so, there's a noticeable lag whenever the card is assessed.
So, in conclusion. Yes, 512 is supported. And the performance really depends on the quality of the card. Not so much on the phone.
So, my take is - get a good brand of memory card. Don't buy the cheap ones (like I did for my wife)...
hello nokiamia and everybody here!i just wanted to clear this faq..how true is the nokia6230 support a 512mb mmc card?some people told me if i use this kind of memory..the phone will hang, coz of too much memory.please enlighten me on this..or 256mb mmc card is just enough for this phone?
I'll buy a nokia once they start making quad band phones. This really looks like a great phone but why can't they throw in the extra band? I'm gonna have to buy a moto becuase they have quad band even though I'd like to be able to buy a nokia.
Andy, no problem. I'll try to help out in whichever way I could.
Bob, nope, the 6230 camera does not have zoom (but even if it does, i will never use 'digital zoom' feature - i'm still waiting for a day when there's 'optical zoom' from a mobile phone). But it can zoom a picture during playback.
Hello there,i just read ur tip to me on how3 to download mp3 files in our n6230.thanks for the the help i rilly appreciated it a lot.my sis will send it to me before my bday this mid may.hope ul answer my other upcoming question regarding 6230 soon.thanks friend!
I love my Nokia 6230. I've had it for a year now and the phone company have offered me a new model. Il be really sad to let it go! The only wierd things are that when I first got it it couldn't detect the headphones but another nokia 6230 could use the headphones from mine. Also it crashes when your playing music, videos and games. Finally after a while the phone couldn't detect memory card so if I wanted to play any music on it I had to go in to the memory card and play induvidual tracks instead of using the media player. Even with these flaws its still an excellent phone and I would recommend it to anyone. Just make sure you dont get a lemon like I did!
Althought it looks weird, it is the ever most functional phone i have ever seen...... good
of course you can connect PC Suite via Bluetooth. Just click on te icon "manage Connection" in the PC Suite and select Bluetooth.
And the great thing about 6230, it can send ANY TYPE OF FILES thru BT, even mp3. Even as you're playing Mp3 files thru the Digital Music Player, just press "option >tracklist >options >send>via BT" - and the mp3 files is sent.. on the fly!
