I love this phone!!! its so kwel i just bought it this week and im enjoying the experience hehehe
Btw, any idea what version the firmware must be for it to be compatible with the PC?
I'm facing the same problem as you, my friend.. My phone cannot detect my phone too. But in the ealier posts (if you would read all) there is a reply post to mine regarding the version of your phone also affects the availability of connecting your phone to your PC.
My suggestion; get a USB Card Reader and an MMC/RS. :-)..
finally, i got this phone last saturday. it's my gift to myself this christmas.i chose this over n6630 bec of the size, radio and internal memory.they both have the same price here in the philippines. but im having problem connecting my phone to my pc. im using usb cable DKU-5. i installed it already and the nokia software included in the package but im having message like theres no available phone connection type so i cant get to work the phone to my pc to download wallpaper and music files. anybody there, please help me. i cant wait to download wallpapers and music files. however im fully satisfied with the phone and all it's feature. one of the greatest phone from nokia.
excellent, just excellent phone...it has every thing and it satisfies all my needs....thank God d500 was my second choice..
the menu after media is organiser , not push to talk ><
I've checked it thousands of time and it dont have Push to Talk . I even compare the user's manual guide from nokia.com.my and mine . Its printed out push to talk avaibility in nokia.com.my and my user's guide doesnt even have it printed =.=
But the things im sure of 101% confirm its 6230i , just curious why mine dont have PTT function .
What is wrong with u people?!!! This is one of the best phones that nokia ever made!!!Everybody knows that nokia is one of the best brand of cells!
the push to talk option is on the menu below Messages and left of Gallery (if using grid).
If using List menu, it is after Media.
the Push to talk button is the volume bar. yyou need to press the up/down volume bar (on the upper left side of the phone facing you) during standby mode.
i dont use the push to talk but i read that iin the manual.
i buy a new 6230i but i dont knw the security code for new nokia ph.. can any one pls info me how i can get the number???
I will get that mobile tommorow or day after tommorow and i am very exited because i have read so much googd staff of that mobile. When i get that mobile first i test a camera and mp3 player. I have watch pictures what are made that mobile and i think that noise is to much luckly i have program to fix noise.
Was provided with a 6230i as a work phone and can only say that if i had paid my own money for it i would be dissappointed. Can't believe that you don't get a reminder if you miss a call or get a message and did not hear it first time around. Not a good business phone. Also takes umpteen key presses to read your first message. Compared to my personal Motorola V620 it sucks, even though the camera quality is good. I have no need for the large memory, or expansion options, so these are not an issue.
i think it is just the time that the battery exhaust... coz it will be run out of battery if u keep on playing mp3 and using the camera...this is the fact i hate the most of this phone...nothing u can do on this...
second, i think u need to upgrade ur firmware or try to uninstall and install the software untill u can get through on that...
most of the firmware on 3.4 will face the problem.
hope this will be a part that u can refer on.
does ne 1 no ne sites for a free compressor for mp3's!?! if you do can u give the site plz
Hey i don't know which phone i will get..
Most phone's that now are out = junk
not much options or whatever, or they will always remove something usefull, or it will broke fast..
the nokia 6230i got all of it!!! en thrustable i think. i got samsung E700 but
is broke about a year and my NOKIA 7210 is still working...
so what's the opinon of you're guys?
which phone is good?
Okay, I've got 2 problems here.
I finally tried to plug my phone via USB cable to both my laptop and PC, but they do not recognise my phone as a data storage system (to transfer files and all). I've downloaded the drivers straight off Nokia.com for the DKU-2 USB cable, but that still doesn't change a thing..
Second probleb, I got a little bit too excited with my phone. used the camera function, mp3 player and used it REALLY often. My battery died down to 3 bars in just maybe.. 10 hours? Is this normal for excited people like me for those BC-50 (or whatever you call those) battries? Or is there something wrong with my battery for running short of batt. power instead?
Once again, replies are much appreciated.
Btw, this phone rocks!!
