Nick,as u said it for a NOKIA user i would rate it about 9!!!
6230i is one of the most overrated phones ever, even now that the far more superior 6233 appeared, 6230 is considered one of the best NOKIA phones!!!!
This just prooves the marketing power NOKIA has,not only people are convinced that this phone is better, than its, far better main competitors, in dimensions, price, features, even design(K750)but even in the next gen improoved version of it!!!
Gongrats to NOKIA to taking advantage of all those victims out there!!
Has any one being using the 3.5mm headphone converter?
If so, can you please advise if the "new" headphone which you used can skip songs ahead like the original nokia accessory?
my 6230i is great it has every possible feature that you want. good camera, mp3, great memory ect. great value for what you pay. cheap and very good to use. for a nokia user ill give this a 9. if it had 3g i'd give it a 10. by the way that error msg that comes for some users (file format not supported or not enough memory when there is) the software is fualty.
I really love this and even though the Nokia website says the max mmc card you can have is 512mb, I am using a 1gb card without any problems.
well i cant seem to record video more than 1 minute . the recording stop after 30 seconds like that .
i dont suppose lack of memory . my phone has 20mb in built memory free , MMU has 170mb free .
wad else possibilities ?
hmm when i try to send mp3 thru MMS , it said ' File Format Not Supported ' .
I try to send mp3 as small as 500kb also got the same msg .
Just curious is anyone here ever send mp3 using MMS ?
i live in Jamaica i just got this phone i must say it is a really great phone has many features for its price people must stop comparing it to k750 bcuz that is a much more expensive phone and it still doesnt have all the features of 6230i such as edge
I think there is a limitation on the size of the file sent. I am not sure about it. Call your service provider and ask them. Have you activated GPRS on your phone???
As there is a bug on your set, I would suggest you to take it to Nokia Customer Care and ask them to format and reinstall or upgrade the firmware.
First install Nokia PC suite on your computer and after that download some games with .jar extension. Download games from www.zedge.no or www.getjar.com. Then from the PC suite select Install Application and then just browse the .jar files and transfer to the phone from there.
hmm , i cant send mp3 files thru MMS ... i thought its supported . or is it my phone spoilt ?
help pls thank
hmm anyone has volume bar bug ? it always popup suddenly when i pressing menu ... kinda annoyin >"<
and is it worth for me to upgrade the firmware ? mine currently is V3.30 .Any suggestion regarding their pro n con ?
tq in advance to all ^^
hello, im wondering whats the highest MB can the phone support? can it support untill 2GB? this is regarding the memory of the mmc card
we all know tht there are many software versions, and i think tht the last one is 4.46, but i wonder also the software maker is more than one or there is one software maker i mean the copyright if it's by nokia or one else.
several n6230i software is copyrighted by NMP (C) i didn't find any nokia (C), is it the original one? is there anyone have n6230i with nokia (C)
so pls. if the n6230i users could check the software by pressing *#0000# and tell me the (v.) and (C)
tks in advance for supporting
i have the data cable for this phone , is it possible to put games on the phone?
if so, how?
i have connected to pc ok , but can`t find games folder ,which is where i`m guessing the games should go?
Really gd phone, has double the amount of camera pixals as the 6230, i love it!
I think 6230i would be better choice. It depends on what you really want actually. I own 6230i and k700i currently. 6230i is better than k700i. No questions about that.
1. Better camera. ( 1.3MP vs VGA )
2. More memory space ( 32MB with card slot vs 41MB w/o card slot )Besides, I got 64MB MMC included in the package when i bought 6230i
So yea, its your choice. But caution SE sometimes load very slow. The camera shutter speed is not as fast as 6230i, so you got to have stable hands.
I just bought N 6230i and i seems quite a good phone, a bit slow but i have a problem: when i receive an image from Samsung e730, my sister's phone, i receive an error message : file type unknown. Does anybody know how to solve this please?
Daniel, yes, the 6230i can detect MP3s that are stored in folders.
Anyway, just to update the regulars, I've just returned my W800 out of my frustration of limited phonebook of 500 contacts and unable to get the USD cable connected to the phone for MP3 transfer. In return, I got myself the W550i. It's smaller in memory size but it has capability to store 1000 contacts. BUT! Again, I'm facing a huge difficulty to transfer files.
Anyway, in comparison to 6230i... hands down, the 6230i IS A BETTER PHONE. Suprisingly, my 6230i has BETTER DISPLAY. It's brigther and sharper! When playing MP3, we can move to the NEXT song by pressing our HS3 headphone. But not SE. You need to reach for the phone to change to the next song.
My 6230i is still the best phone our there. I'm just using the W550i as a travelling companion when taking flights and listening to MP3 before sleep.
After my encounter with SE W800 and W550i, I truly love my 6230i more and more.
