    Crispian rulez!!!
Man you have done the unthinkable!! Hats off to you brother and thanks a lot for the discovery Einstein. You rock. But one thing which I am not liking is the songs in the playlist are not shown in a folder in the Gallery. They are shown as individual files and they really looks messed up to me. But thats not a problem cause I don't access the music files from the gallery directly. Anyways Thanks A Lot Pal.

Yup, 1 excellent remark on Nokia: durability. I've dropped my phones so many times, and it's still working beautifully. The battery, for my usage, could threotically last > than 2days - with the phone turned on 24hrs a day (without BT headphone usage, i only use BT or IR to synch with my Outlook). An interesting bit is: I was travelling the other day, listening to mp3 for almost 8hrs, and still have 3-4 bars available. That, for me, is very good. The truth, I'm not such a good reference to battery life as I charge my phone on daily basis. See, I have a desktop charger at home, the Music Stand DT1. So, everytime I come home, I'll just place it in the Music Stand and my phone gets charged. My wife's 6230 has a similar life time. But she talks a LOT on the phone, so....

p/s: i really love the SE W800 coz it can hook up with a normal 3.5mm headphone and has a "flight" profile. but, DURABILITY is high in my preference - and Nokia hits the spot ;-)

Its a great phone, although i do have a question regarding the bluetooth function. A friend of mine has the samsung d500 and we paired devices no problem, although he was able to browse my phone, looking at pictures, messages etc... and i could not seem to do the same to his phone, is it at all possible?? Please please let me know!!!!

            Crispian,

Just tested it, once I received a sms while viewing a video through the media player, it will stop and have to re-start all over again.

              Crispian,

              re: Creating / changing tracklist
Thanks very much. You are a star, just tried as per your instructions and it worked!

Those Nokia ppl at the so called "support" centre are useless.

I think i figured out a way to make a playlist, but u will need to use pc suite for this. What u need to do is:
1)Open Transfer Music application in pc suite
2)Click on Edit-Create New Play list
3)it will then ask u to save the play list on ur pc,so save it
4)Click on the play list on the music studio window and then click the button add.
5)Add the songs u would like on ur playlist
6)once done, click on the transfer to phone button.
7)Now on the phone-click options once u open the music player-Select "Tracklist"-Click options-and "Change tracklist".
                      and thats it.

NokiaMia, I'm a huge Nokia fan, not because they are the #1 manufacturer or because of the name brand or because they are the most popular, I'm a fan because they make excellent quality phones, especially in terms of strength, features and reception. A big plus is that Nokia focuses a lot on calling and phone features whereas many phones don't (like Sony Ericsson). Best of all, Nokia reception is the best I have ever seen in a cell phone (Sony Ericsson is the worst). In my opinion, the build quality of Nokia is the best or among the best. My 6230 is my 6th cell phone and 4 of those were Nokia. The other two greatly disspointed, Siemens & Sony Ericsson (SE). In terms of build quality I fine SE to be the worst, joystick problems everytime, I personally experienced joystick problems on a level entry (T310) and also a flagship SE phone (T610) so there's no excuse right there. Some buttons failed to work eventually and SE processing speed is too slow. Even the non-joystick flagship SE phones ended up with bad problems (P800). Most of all, SE reception is the worst. Somebody once said SE needs to borrow some of Nokia's antennas. When a Nokia phone drops and hit the ground you need not worry but if it's a SE you better fret, I saw a P800 fell and there was a lot of blackness at the bottom of the screen (like a ink bag burst) and I met someone who had to get a replacement screen for their K700 because it fell and broke. The new SE K750 doesn't impress me. I read a post where in the K750 forum where a user's K750 fell and suddenly a black line was seen in the middle of the screen and wouldn't go away. I have never experienced any form of screen problems with a Nokia. In every Nokia's manual it is said that the Phone is made from superior craftsmanship, believe that statement, they aren't lying. I'm sticking to Nokia and don't ever plan to switch.

NokiaMia, the only question I have left is in regards to the high quality screen of the 6230i. I notice the 6230i uses the same battery as the original 6230. I'm wondering how badly does the high quality (208x208) screen drains the battery. Nokia batteries are usually long lasting but this is the highest quality screen I've ever seen on a Nokia phone so it makes me wonder how well is the battery able to cope with it. Catch you later.

                            Blade and Paul,

I've emailed the Nokia support here in Hong Kong regarding the track list, and they called me back to inform that the phone cannot create or change track lists. Kinda strange and sucks the phone has this option but its unusable. But if anyone else can really change or create one, I'd love to know too.

The phone behaves better now that I transferred all my mp3 ringtones to the internal memory, no more miss calls. Previously when I had ringtones saved on my memory card, every now and then, the ringtone would muted. However, the phone's screen still switch on out of the blue, a small bug, but acceptable.

before installing the application the available memory in phone is 2mb

                                    Hey Blade,
I also downloaded some .jar games and they also get small in my phone. Don't know why this happens.
As for the playlist thing, you are not the only one who is breaking his head. I don't think this phone supports playlists or else someone may have figured it out other than Vodaben.

This feels like a reunion right now with NokiaMia & Christine :-)...and now a 3rd party is added, me :-)

Christine & NokiaMia which part of the world are you both in ? I'm in Jamaica, the beautiful island called Jamaica.

                                        Okay, down to business now:

NokiaMia, a correction. Nokia does state that the phone has zoom but didn't say by how much and funny enough, the official page for the 6230i didn't even mentioned it. I had to go to the technical section of the site.

I have heard complaints about noise shown in the photos EVEN when they were taken in good lighting conditions. I saw a photo sample on the net and it indeed had grains in it, not a whole lot to complain about though. I was surprised to hear these complaints because Nokia says the main purpose of this included megapixel camera is to show off your photos in prints, and they were boasting greatly about their camera. Another website infosync said that the 6230i takes unbelievably stunning photos. In my opinion, the photo samples I saw looked ok, contrast and saturation were decent.
