Hey oliver i know it sounds stupid but if u tap and blow your phones speaker then it should sound ok. Put it this way it worked on mine!!
I bought the Nokia 6230i 3 days ago, it's a great phone with class and all you need on it.
I'm just experiencing some echoing when I'm calling like some of you mentionned already ? Any solution to this problem.
Thx for your help
Can somebody tell me how manny minutes does the nokia 6230i records? I wanna know if the recording stops after 10 seconds like on other models!
1. Creating new playlists... I will refresh my memory and post the full details in a day or two.
2. MP3 ringtone resetting to default... you can stop this by saving your desired MP3 ringtone on the handset memory not MMC card.
haha.. you compare K300, mot v220 with 6230i? of course this phone is far superb than that. compare it with mot e1120 and W800.. they are a lot better.
Been delaying buying a mobile for a while. Checked out loads of different handsets and finally went for this one. My most recent handsets were a SE K300I and Mot v220, both absolute rubbish.
This 6230i is absolutely amazing! I'm not interested in a new 3G or smart phone just yet. This has everything I would need. Great display easy to navigate menu and sound is clear as a bell. MP3 is fantastic, I bought a 256meg mmc card and put loads of tracks on it. My battery lasts for ages too.
Buy one of these you're in for a real treat.
i am having one nokia 6230i an dits having the ascending ringtone problem, my firm ware version is 3.30, is there any solution to solve this issue
hello davina, i share your opinion as well as the 6230 is concerened, but not with the i ver. i have been using nokias since early 90s - 1610,5110,6110,3210,3210,6610,7650,6600,7610,6230,3230 then the mentioned 6230i in that respective order it was a bug with the both the phones, the original as well as the one nokia replaced for me.
I am noticing a bug with call duration. I have the Summary after call turned on Located in Settings -> Call Settings. This is a good feature, it lets me know straight away how long I have spoken for. The problem is, it is not working all the time! It works for a while, and then I may be talking to someone on Loudspeaker, and an alarm goes off, or something else happens, and the Summary after call no longer works. I have to switch the phone off then on again! Anyone have this sort of problem?? Help would be greatly appreciated.
I have firmware 3.40
Can anyone pls tell me whether 6230i supports
OGG file format? Thanks a lot
Oh Sunny, what a shame? Are you sure it isn't a fault with you and not the phone? I find it very user friendly - it's the type of phone even a simpleton could use.
i got upgraded to a 6230i frm 6230.i havent used a phone as bad as the 6230i i have, inspite of reptd visits to nokia service centre they replaced my phone with a new one only to have the same problem of ring tones going default automatically on profiles as well as disturbance over blue tooth headset. fed up with the phone i got it changed for a cost. never again a nokia!
no probs sin!
its better if u get the full version of sound forge. some times when u have trial versions, n if u have the setup file, once the time period gets over just run d setup again n keep doin tat..!
n jon,.sis works only with series 60 phones with symbian n not series 40 phones like ours.. but .jar files are supposed to work. i haven tried downloadin ne games yet though.
n my friend who created a playlist do tell us in detail how u did tat.. will b very helpful
Hi blade, thanks for your recommendation of "sound forge", but unfortunately its also 30 days trial only....I still wish that some fans who are interested in trimming can provide the real free link...
Can anyone help me and tell me if (6230i) can work with .jar and sis files.
wat u need to do is when saving a file on the memory card in its images folder for example, instead of clicking the center button, click options(left click button) and say open folder. Then u can save it in the desired folder.
First of all create a folder in the MMC with the name you wish. Then select the camera and click options. There select Image storage. It shows Default folder. Select it then you can choose between Default and Other folder. Select Other Folder. Then when you see the memory card is selected in BOLD click options and then 'open folder'. Then simply select the folder you created at the beginning. One thing is that when you do this your video clips and the images get stored in that single folder only. But when it is selected Default the images and the video clips are stored in the Images and Video Clips folders in the phone memory respectively. Hope this helps. Peace.
