Hey guys, what is all of this with the phone crashing and restarting in "media player"? I want to ask those that have encountered this problem if they where using the phone internal memory or the MMC card (if they had one) i think there is a problem with the shared memory. Is it true?

i dont get it, if you ppl have so much probs with this fone,then return the damn thing and get sumthing else,dont keep moaning about it!!!!

I also have the problem with assigning my ringing tone on my 512MMC card. It always goes back to the default nokia tune. Can this be rectified by software upgrade? Thanks.

At the moment there are some problems with setting up this phone for Push To Talk - the software can't handle it. Take it to a service centre for a free software upgrade and you should be fine to get your PTT settings :)

6230i camera is an average one, and works as well as an average digital camera. pixel shade is a result of lack of light, happens in all average digial cameras. if the picture you took is dark, you can adjust its contrast. just see the options for a photo taken.
my phone firmware version is 3.23 and I described the problems I got with it.
you can find audible alerts under voice commands in: Settings->My shortcuts.
it is possible to add several numbers for one contacts in 6230i; just choose option while viewing a contact and choose "add detail" then "number"!

we got the same version: 3.23
i dont have any problem w/ sounds but my video player! after 13 mins of play, my phone freezes and restarts...
i guess u have to go to the service center and get it upgraded, as what i'd do w/ mine

hey as i found out Version 3.23 doesnt have any problems. only prob is the speaker volume is bit low.
CAN ANYONE USING VERSION 3.23 CONFIRM THIS.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO UPDATE THE PHONE SOFTWARE? Where to download the correct version?

Yes i had found some problems (i copy this from my last post) like:
1) hye, i think there was a problem about 6230i's speaker. don't u think it's too too too loud? now i only use level 1 for my speaker volume,coz when i turn to higher level like 3 or 4 or 5, it's produced "broken" sound or something sound like bzzzzzzzzzzz in the background..ahhh im very2 disappointed!
2)1) When i connect the headphone, the phone can detect it (i can see the headphone icon on my screen) but i can't here anything. I can turn on the radio but only can listen when i turn on loudspeaker not from headphone.
I had tried the headphone to my friend's 6230 and it working properly. Before this i heard the rumours that the new version of Nokia 6230i cannot support for headphone. Is this true?
3)My nokia 6230i Cannot delete all reports, i have to delete it one by one. As i know this feature is provided in nokia 6230, but i didn't see it in 6230i.
4)Yet another annoyance - Due to message preview i only get 3 texts on scren at once (as opposed to 5 on 6230) Does anyone know if the message preview can be turned off?

SENSEI, are you having any problems w/ ur 6230i? if not, then i may have to upgrade my system coz i have a problem w/ my media player. whenever i view my movies, my phone crashes and restarts after 13 mins... this is such a drag!

Nokia Mia,
Thank God! I have received my replacement. But, I still face some problems which I think most of Nokia 6230i have experienced it - the ringing tone of the phone will change to default when I change the themes; the second problem will be the ascending ringing tone.Other than, it is fine maybe i have not yet dicovered some other problems.Nokia Mia, have you encountered all these aforementioned problems? Is it because of its software?

the first big mistake of NOKIA in 6230i is putting this worse camera.
the second biggest mistake is putting the 2nd camera resolution to VGA.
VGA?!
why? at least 800x600, because at most megapixel phones, the 2nd resolution is great.
