i cant comment on it yet,but what i can comment on is the crap service providers in South Africa,damn they really suck.this phone isnt even available yet here!!does anyone know when it will be??

I was excited to received my unit. However, I requested for a replacement coz the LCD appeared to be "unstable" which is a sore to the eye. I just hope that it's just one defective in a million of 6630i units.

i baught it today n it works perfect...it have evrythng ppl want a perfect one n 6230i iz all over best n perfect small display not a big deal..execpt camera its beter then 7610 n 3230...i lov ma baby 6230i...

Mine was also made in China. Whether d problem is in d software or in its hardware component, Nokia center assure me that they'll be able 2 fix it & I believe them 'cuz they're d one who manufactured it. I can have my fone back this sunday. ^_^

The fonts are disgusting.Nokia should rectify it immediately.6230, with the smallest font option packed more information on screen than it is with 6230i.With a resolution of 208*208, it can support finner text format.Hope Nokia is listening

i tested one a few days ago and i was very dissapointed of it, i didn't know it will be such a bad phone. i hate that middle button, it annoys you when navigating, and the "OK" key, it's changed everytime, it's drivin' me crazy. and that menu is so stupid, i can't find a thing, the categories are completely stupid. i wanted to zoom in some photos, but it responded lately, it's a slow function. and only 300kb for a mms? and the MMC hidden under the battery? but there is a thing i love, it's the 1hour voice recording, but the records are not so good at all. nokia, i feel ashamed, serious... guys, if i were you, i'd choose the SE K750 or the SE W800. think about it...

There is a problem with the mail client connecting to mailservers using SSL security. Firmware 3.30 does not fix this problem, but it will be in the next version.

just over the next page, I mentioned about how i dislike the middle button over the navi-button (maybe because I've gotten used to 6230 button), so, i changed the 6230i keypad with 6230... and IT FITS PERFECTLY!!! YESSSSS.... the only disadvantage is.. people don't know that I'm using 6230i... but i don't care coz i always thought that the middle navi-button spoils the beauty of 6230i's simplicity.

To whom it may concern,
I find the key pad a bit of a fiddle, being a farmer with large hands inparticular the key that is used for cursor direction as well as selecting must be pressed centrally.
There seems to be limited choice if wanting a mobile to use on a hands free car kit.

Does this phone have a reject calls list, similar to that of the LG's where you put callers on this list and it goes straight to voicemail without having to ring?

To ALL 6230i owners,
Yes the opinions comin about the problem with the audio from the headset are true..
To know if ur handset is one of the ones with the problem, listen to the Nokia Startup tone when u switch on the mobile. If it comes in a broken up pattern with some audio disturbance than your handset is the 1 of the ones with the problems, Otherwise you are LUCKY, because there are ones without this issue..

Hey Fret!!!,
Just read my post below (Unnamed). I have had the same problem. Could not hear anything on the headset (FM, Music player, Calls). My problem was traced to a hardware component which has which has not been fixed by MISTAKE !!. My software version was V3.25.
I have sent it to the service centre to have that component fixed. It will get deilvered next week.

Hi peeps! I brought my phone @ nokia centre bcuz ders somethin wrong w/ it. I can't listen on d radio w/ d headset; only w/ loudspeaker. They told me that der might be some problem w/ its software. It's been a week now & I can't w8 2 have my phone back this coming sunday. They assure me that they'll be able to fix it. I'm sure they will. Technical staff here in d Philippines are good. Hehehehe... ^_^
