Alessandro, i really love nokia phones, and my opinion is that this is the best brand of mobile phones. I baught the phone 4 days ago for your interest, and if you dont believe me that i baught it, i dont really care, so i am not an anti-nokia fan. However, i sold samsung D500 for Nokia 6230i because Nokia is a durable phone that doesen't break as easy as samsung does, otherwise i wouldn't have sold D500 for nothing(Although i regreted the sound mate and rapidity of menu, screen etc.)!!! As technology D500 is better than 6230 from all aspects unless memory card ! B.T.W. D 500 i baught brand new from romanian gypsyes who steal from england and send in romania, with 100 euro :))) c ya

Can someone please tell me for how long the battery "stays alive" (for real - because I know that at 6230 the battery lasts around 3 days without mp3 or radio listening, wich to me seems not quite good)

6230i is proof that a great phone (6230) can become greater.

My opinion about nokia 6230i , it's a good phone overall, same thing with 6230 but with minor improvements and of course more expensive. This phone is for shore a bridge betwen the 6230 and a new nokia phone that will take the lead, maybe a 6250 or something like that with 2-3 MP camera . bigger display and other major improvements. If u buy this phone today in 6 months you will have the past in your pocket ! Best regards ...

look people! you lot might say sony ericsson's phones are better then nokia, but we all know that nokia is just the best! nokia was and still is now, the best selling company! you lot might think that sony e w800 and k750i are better! but only when you have the phones in your hands you will see that nokia 6230i is the better one overall! i'm saying this not because i'm a nokia fun! but because i know the differnt! so people, want to know what phone is good for you? e-mail me at: alexkiss87@yahoo.com.... then you will see..... see ya.... people....

Got mine on 22/04/05, played with it over the weekend. This phone is everything that Nokia pormised. Great phone, much better than the old series 60 phones I was used to. Love it !!!

thought so!! does this menu have themes because previous nokia normal phones didnt use themes but the 3220 and 7260 menu(NEWER PHONES)the menu has been low like the t610- reason- the theme

Very happy with mine for the time being. Don t understand the difficulty people are having with the T9 dictionnary, its ducking (sic!) good as usual! Seems to work just as good as before, just teach him again! Seeing some of the things written in this forum it might just be a problem with writing ability rather then the T9 dictionnary!
Anyway I was just curious if any of you could recommend a good reliable site with interesting applications to add on. Many thanks, Munkypint

I just baught this phone from Nokia shop, and i expected something else !
Improvements : Display, Camera, Internal Memory , Push to Talk, Themes !
Drawnbacks : The movement speed of the menu is much slower than 6230, Music doesen't sound as lowd as it does at 6230 (but more clearer), T9 really sucks, Battery life is smaller, The camera isn't so good as expected (zoom sucks, and pictures on pc are horrible, ringtones sound increasing although option is off)
I had before a Samsung D500 and it was 100 times better than this one, so i am sorry to say but nokia still has lot to work and improve at this model, maybe an updated software would fix some problems, i dunno they'll figure it out !!!

The T9 sux big time. I've always used T9 on Nokia, and now they give me this?! Someone teach me how to turn off the "***" crap on the T9 please!

push-to-talk gives you the ability to use the phone as a walkie-talkie through the GPRS network.
Next time, put in more effort and do a search over at Nokia's website. Here's the link to the push-to-talk technology. You'd find more information there.

as i first saw the nokia 6230, i was magically turned on by it's beauty and simple shape...it's elegant...it was just perfect. so i bought it and said this is a lifetime cell, i won't change it in the next 5-10 years...and i'm still loving it...and i thank nokia for upgrading the most beautiful cell phone with these new features..now it's even more perfect...i'm gonna buy it in the next month...i'm just saving money right now.and i'll be loyal to it.
i just wonder what arguments some of you say..."the menu is still boring"...i even didn't find the menu of the 6230 boring...a menu has to be logically in first place...so you can reach any task simple and direct...try a siemens menu , then u will find out what boring means...i can't wait to buy the 6230i, i've captured my most worthy moments, with friends and family as picture and video with my 6230...thank god they both have a MMC slot, so i can keep my memorable moments
