NO. Only normal sized MMC cards will do. MiniSD is a lot smaller and has lower capasity of memory.
Theres a note on the Nokia sites that the memory is expandable only up to 512mib. That's the reason why I fear that 1024mib MMC cards wont work.

6230i has a lot goin for it over the D500
-EDGE[236kb/sec]
-expanable Memory with MMC
-Better Camera[ Pictures Taken with it the First Look review look better than that with D500]
-Easier User Interface as its a Nokia
So i think the 6320i will keep u happier for a longer time..

The phone will support 1GB MMC cards if the normal 6230 can..
The phone is being released in 2-3 weeks and is way ahead of the K750 and W800 from SOny. Nokia is going to be winning the sales before those phones come out. When those phones come out Nokias will announce their new models. Remember Nokia said 40 new mobiles coming out this year.
The screen is small but it is 208x208 so the 1.3 camera will look good on the screen.

What's the point of having a megapixel camera when your screen is too small! This phone is obviuosly being release in jest so they could have an answer to Samsung and Sony Ericsson current and upcoming megapixel phones. Nokia seems to be running out of designs and ideas.

It's weird that the 6230 supports mmc cards up to 1gigabyte, but this updated edition 6230i should support up to only 512mb. Why on earth is this transaction done? 6230i is a kick ass phone, I hope it supports 1g in memory.

This phone has a lot of numbers which i dont like at all they are pointless. The camera also has a lense which is unnesary. The flying forks will provide 5 mins of entertainment but afterwards become annoying. The screen is awaful as its dirty i have no way of cleaning it and when scratched with a knife it doesnt work proerly also this phone is not waterproof and is not handy for the deep sea diver that has a lot of friends. Overall the best phone i have ever seen that is not a phone

I think this phone has great features and it still looks pretty good. It has great features that I would use like video recorde, mp3 player, radio and especially the 1.3mp camera. The only thing that really does let the phone down is the size of the display even if it does have a 1.3mp camera. Anyway I certainly will be putting this phone on my shopping list!
