Hey, ppl are asking the cost of this mobile, i dont know for sure but i would b definatly thinking around $900-1000 aus, that is not a sure figure tho, hope it helps

No big diffrence, only the camera is now 1.3MP but the screen and everything else is the same as the old 6230.

nokia is way far behind and i dont think this year they can compete with samsung or SE although im agree that they are user-friendly but then they dont live up to the standard for this year..so i dont think i will be getting any nokia phones for now until they have come out with some nice phone like samsung or SE but currently im using n6600 and im quite satisfite about it last time when i just bought it...but come on nokia...u should have b ahead of them instead of stayin with the old fashion phone!!

I used to wonder why my boyfriend used to go Ga Ga over the 6230..but after goin thru the mobile i feel..It deserves his admiration...eagerly awaitin the 6230i..

I'm currently using Nokia 6230 & i'm very satisfied with its performance as compared to my previous big-sized 6600 & 3660. Loved the screen's resolution & it's built-in MP3 player function.
Its speaker is very impressive when it comes to ringtones alerts. I just cant wait for the 6230i to arrive in Malaysian shores..... perhaps there are Ap sets around edi?

Cooool phone but now NOKIA cannot compete Samsung. Still on 1.3 MP. Camera result dependz alot. Also less memory. They already introduced 3 GB microchip. Bye Bye Nokia. See ya

This is an undisputable phone as of now, i've always admired the nokia 6230 so much actually almost adoring its great com,bination of features most especially the memory part if it but noe the i-version am amazed, i cant wait to get my hands on it though i know i cant afford it now, Great work nokia keep it up.

I heard the CEO of Nokia saying that they will not use in the phone's hardware futuristic stuff cause the users are not ready for it yet. What's the use of haveing a 5 Mp camera and the photo at maximul resolution can not be send via MMS? The display it's 320 x 320(maybe). And??? You can't see the photo well.
Anyway Nokia knows what is doing and we are happy to buy the phones.

Became a nokia phone fanatic after breakup with girlfriend.
Currently on 6630. I've read that 6230 is a great phone, hence will try out 6230i when it comes out. 208x208 pixels on the same real estate surprises everyone...

just i want to know that i will be able to use radio using the blue tooth. at present i am using 6230 which doesn't support radio to blue tooth

I've been using a 6230 since last year. Bought 1 more for my wife.
My previous gripe was not able to use 256Mb MMC, but in the 2nd unit i bought, with Firmware 4.46, this problem is solved. Display size? I've learnt to live with it.
Best part of the phone is the MP3 player. The sound quality is superb! I was looking at 02 Xphone II - really liked it. But - will the MP3 player sound as good as the 6230? I dont know.
Then came in news about the "Nokia Display Headset HS-6" - this really gets me excited.
So, for now, I can't think of moving to other phone or smartphone, coz the 6230 is really keeping me happy - I only have 6230i to look fwd.

one thing which let it lot dowm man it hasseries 40 developer platform not series 60 patform .its os is not symbian but nokia .so at last with all comparison i will bye 3230 not 6230i or 6260.

Unbelievable. Try to upload your 6310i data into your 6230i.... Impossible. Next phones will be a different brand, because this S.... big time. Waste of many and another previously loyal customer lost to the losers.

This is d BOMB.....pls enlarge d screen and increase d colour 2 265k or more like samsung and SE phones. This a big phone with all those features and NOKIA is d BIGGEST of All.

mobile phone fundamentals:
1.the phone MUST be small in size
2.keeping the phone small leaves less space to the screen,ok BUT it is NO PROBLEM UNLESS IT HAS A SEXY RESOLUTION!! with 208x208, please welcome the brilliant next generation mobile screen.. 208x208 shows more items than dummy smartphones due to total pixel size.. with keeping the phone small in size... which is absolutely great!!!!!! much crisper, much brighter.. this is called "TECHNOLOGY"
3. Nokia, for sure is producing far beyond good mobile phones.. the reasons of compliants about the previous model 6230 is not that nokia didn't have the technology, but ONLY marketing issues as well... they did a great job selling 6230.. i have heard that once the factories couldn't meet the demands of 6230... now it will be the same for 6230i..
why not 2mpix cam in it??
do you really think that nokia couln't develop better and bigger even ccd lenses for the mobile phones?? hhah.. they did it all years ago... today, if they want they could place a 5 mpix ccd lens into the phone.. but they will never do that... they will market and sell every single step of development.. the phone will succeed still wonderful without that 2 mp cam. thats why they didn't put it inside.. 1.3 mp is good enough for it.. they are not competing with SE because they dont need to.. there are always be large number of nokia buyers and we, like stupid donkeys, will continue to buy all of these phones.. so beware these realities... and stop competing one phone with another... its so stupid...
nokia's marketing strategy of its own models is: never develop a dream phone.. this is also true for other companies too.. 6230i, at least for me is greatest non-symbian phone they have ever built.. and will sell great numbers i believe.. but thats all.. it is not a dream phone... and will be outdated less than a year...

Yes .. I guess this is the dream phone for much people.. I had a 6230 but i trade it with a 7610, 7610 it-s boring without mmc and games.. 6230i.. it sounds great.. 1,3mp camera, 208*208 pixels.. dream phone.. Do u have any ideeas? when it will apear in Romania? or when the phone will be released? this is my next phone.. garanteed.. And with what price it will sell? Best Regards

upgrade (6230) your software to 5.24 and get all the features of "i" play AAc and more get better pix but the thing which u dont get is usb port and 1.3 cam
