First you need to have Nokia pc suite on you're computer after installing, connect the phone to the computer either using the data cable DK-U2(optional) Bluetooth or infrared. After the connection has been established you open the pc suit application and click on transfer music, from here you can open the folders which contain music files in your computer by clicking "add" then transfer either to the phones internal memory or its memory card. You can also rip audio CDs and they will be in AAC format which will be further compressed while still sounding as good as MP3’s.Good luck.

I have had a 2nd 6230i for about 2 months now, with software version v3.80 for those that are interested. I bought a 1Gb memory card from www.mobymemory.com and it works fine, but its best to use a card reader with it for speed of transfering. Do not format the 1Gb card on ur fone! do it on the computer if u have to (Format it using FAT).
The only problems i have seen with the 1Gb card is that the phone sometimes restarts when viewing videos from it, or transfering a video to friends (but happens very rarely, some times doesnt happen at all!!). As for Mp3s it is perfect.

Really nice phone..
BUT i found an issue of it. When listening to a song using the music player if i receive a call and after missing it (missed call) music player resume to playmode in the maximum volume. This is a really bad experience when listening to the music using a headset.

best phone no probs so far 512 mb card works well. bluetooth also works well. screene quality is quit satisfying. the best ever sound. all this phone does not have is 3g.
you will be surprised with the ammount of dust i collects under the screene.

ive had my 6230i for three months and it keeps playing up. its a good fone put i get sik and tired of it wen it doesnt work. IF YOUR THINKING OF BYING ONE OF THESE BE CAREFUL!!!!

this problem with shutting down in music player has runied my mp3 playerness of this phone ....i hate it when it shuts down(restarts) it so bugging now i want to sell it ...and i dont know if it can be fixed.??il have to ask a professional..or something..becuase i might just sell mine and get K750i or 6151 or d600

i have a 6230 not 6230i and have the same "problem".. the pone just shuts down when i play an mp3..
It happend only once in 2 weeks.. so i guess it's resonable :p
