Nokia 6230i - user opinions and reviews

I've been using my Nokia 6230i for two months now. I'm having a great time using it.
I used to need a digicam, MP3 player, flash disk and a phone. Now I only need one thing: My N6230i. It's very useful and handy - it's everything you MIGHT need.
However, of course, we got to admit that Symbian is more powerful. I need to access Office files, I want to edit photos (the edit photo option is mediocre; like using MS Paint), I want to edit videos, and so on. And, you can't switch between applications.
But overall, I'm satisfied with the features of N6230i. But they have to fix the problem of the recurring phone crashing, afterwards it restarts itself.

hey.. been using this phone for awhile now and i wanna get a new headset and i was wondering if i can use the nokia hs 20.. would it work.. please someone help me..

right now i'm online using my 6230i via bluetooth. it should be the same with IR.
the number i dial (and its universal) is *99#
just make sure ur device manager in windowsn shows a modem via ir link. use that modem and dial the dialup connection.
note: access poin name should be entered in ur mobile in connection/access point1/acces point name. e.g isp.nawras.com.om .
get the apm frp, ur service provider.....

I cannot get this 6230i to connect me to the internet. The phone links OK to the PC via infrared but the phone number selected in the program to make the phone dial my provider will not initialise. Any suggestions?

What is up with the troubleshooting posts - its annoying to read "how do i do such and such" most will come here for "user opinions and reviews" - you never would of guessed.

Great phone! I've got it from a month. I bought 1GB RS-MMC and works fine without any problems. Pictures taken with aparat looking good at phone. I thinking the sound of 'phone talk' is little too low.

can some help me with his problem: i disconnected my handsfree after listening to the radio and since then the handsfree sign is still showing and i cannot speak freely unless i speak through the speaker phone.

I've buy this brand new 6230i 6 days ago.
1. The sound & ringer it's too low (setting on level 5).
2. Right setting but GPRS always error (failed process).
3. When the camera is on there is a little tiny line in a whole LCD.
4. The battery only have 11 hours for standby.
I think this whole phone was broke or it does!?
So..
5. I resale it again.
6. Finished.

nokia 6230iis the best phone i have ever had.
and one of the best in the world
it is fine
the batery lifetime is around 12 days
with 0%usage
and around 7-9 days with nedium usage.
the photos taken with the built in camers are so perfect.
the MP3 is great
also the radio
the bluetooth and infrared connection are workind excelent too
it has a superb loudspeaker
and why do not recognise ???
it looks vey good
i think you should buy this wonderful and almoust perfect phone

it contains lot of blasting features
1.3mp camera,bluetooth,IR,music player
more than dis it can b used as a removable disk by just using a usb cable

Best thing about the mobile G8 sound, G8 display. I have put 1GB MMC it works fine. Its loaded with MP3, and Video MPEG4 format songs.
Does not Support.
The only draw back is this phone does not has OS.
All in all great phone. and its not costly the rates are very much down.

Its been a wonderful mobile i ever seen ,i m working in Gsm telecom industry for last 3 years and i used many mobiles but i love Nokia 6230i but unfrtunately its abit costly and i cant buy it,kindly reduce its prices.
