Does it accept MP3 songs as ringtones and pay them well ? Does it's battery life improve with software upgrade ? Does it have a USB port ?
Is Nokia gonna release another great phone like this ? part of this family. eg, 6220, 6230, and 6230i ? is there going to be any new ones =] plz follow this up.. im waiting for a new great release by nokia ?
Does it have USB port, can mp3 songs on card be played as ringtones ?
In my opinion is one of the most completes and beautiful cells that nokia have.
I think that this phone is a function packed one, just that this phone doesn't have as much class and colour display as the Nokia 8800, but the functions are all better:
1. Loudspeaker superb
2. All connections available (Bluetooth etc.)
3. 3GP and MP4 Videos supported, 3GP and MP4
format are all associated with the AMR
format, so the audio may not be that good.
4. 1.3 Megapixel camera, enough. For your
laptop / LCD screen display, the most
common resolution now is 1280x1024,
which is the same as the camera
5. You can use your phone as a music player,
radio, and camera.
1. The battery lifespan is quite short, my
phone can last for 3-4 days, it would last
for 3 days if I use it a lot.
2. The music player sometimes go haywire,
the buttons will not come up if you press
it sometimes, (Is Nokia trying to prove
that the DIGITAL Music Player will be
3. If your firmware is V.3.70, good for you,
if your software is not updated, of
course, all the complaints will all come
in, come on, you bought your warranty
card for nothing??!!! GO SERVICE IT!!!
4. The camera, when recording videos...
in 3GP format, sigh... N-Series is
already advancing to the MP4 generation,
so the quality may not be satisfactory.
Love this phone so much!!! One of the best
phones ever. Bluetooth, Infrared, USB, Music
Player (With Equaliser), Radio, Superb Loudspeaker, Large LCD Screen, Brightness is bbright enough even at night (I use it as a
torchlight : ))... etc. I cannot name them
all, and it's still consistent with the
Nokia N-Series, at least...
Hi Stu, there are 2 possible answers to your request....first, could it be that your "summary after call" on settings>call>summary is switched on. Turning that off could solve it. Secondly, and giving it a good thought, this sounds more like O2 automated service. I would suggest you give them a quick call and request it to be turned off...Perhaps that helps?? Anyway, just a couple of ideas....take care.
Could anyone pls let me know how to chk the total mins the fone has been used for(from time of manufacture)??
Eg: *#0000# shows u the fones firmware, for the life of me cant seem to remember what it is. Thanks heaps :)
Hi,just bought a 6230i,using on O2 pay as you go.really like the phone but every time i finish a call or send a message i get a service message telling me my remaining credit.I dont mind getting the message but dont want the message alert tone.Does anyone know how i can turn this off without affecting my incoming text message alert tone..
Thanks Roger, I got it from a shop in Lucky plaza. What surprising is that the ph is made in Germany! Cheers Anand =)
Yes, "jee"; the maker's battery tends to run out. When I tried to use the stopwatch, I had problems, but they disappeared when I ran the stopwatch with the phone on the charger. If you were timing Olympic races at the stadium, this wouldn't be possible! However, otherwise I am very pleased with the Nokia 6230i.
Hi guys, follow up on my question earlier - I've done the test myself, comparing a 6230i and N70. No chance, i like 6230i best. It is quicker, easier to use and just a better phone all round - for ME anyway. Regards.
Hey Sumitt - I got a nokia 6230i ans use loads of ringtones, most of which are MP3's. so yes, you can download your MP3 to your MMC card and use them as your ringtone. Take care, hope this helps!
Hy Anand, I think this is because perhaps T-Mobile gets their produce/allocation of phones direct from Singapore. However, what is the source of your purchase - high street or internet (Ebay)?? Most of the time people change the fascias as the original ones get damaged in transit.
