the coolest phone from the nokia stable its a all in one phone it has 3G, gprs every thing from music player infrared bluetooth, 2.megapixel camera a VALUE FOR MONEY I HAVE A LATEST MUSIC EDITION ITS A GOOD PHONE
LiT, 11 Jun 2008thanks fusion :)Glad to help. Try setting the configuration I gave to you. In the event that still doesn't work (maybe i missed something) then it's the only time when you need to contact your service provider for the GPRS settings. Let me know of the developments.
gaurav, 10 Jun 2008how is the sound quality of this phone? is it louder than nokia n73?Definitely its rockrrr.
LiT, 10 Jun 2008thanks for the reply fusion but where can i type in the gateway ip?? because i cant find that ... moreNo problem. Go to Settings - configuration -personal configuration settings, then choose "web." You'll find the fields to be filled out with the settings I gave you. Next, go to settings - default config. settings. Look for "O2" and activate it.
Better yet - if you have the time - bring it to your service provider (O2) and they will activate it for you by sending the settings thru your fone. Once you receive the settings, it will automatically be saved to your fone once you "save" it.
Try calling them and ask if they can send the settings to you.
Fuzion, 05 Jun 2008Were you able to set the GPRS and MMS settings from O2?! If not, you need to activate it to... morethanks for the reply fusion but where can i type in the gateway ip?? because i cant find that option. . .
I like it. Its a great phone. Normally, I don't like nokia models but this one I really love it. It is very handy for my office use. I recommend Nokia to continue this model with new version of it.
even though n70 as a smartphone, may outperform 6233 in terms of "what it can do"
6233 is better in the more "noticeable aspects" such as,
screen(bigger resolution, 3d icons0
stability( well there is no question both phones are prone to hang/crashes but 6233 only crashes when you access the memory card and it cant read the files...but in n70
sometimes though it is still working...you cant receive text messages unless you restart it
speed much faster than n70
java performance...you can google it up to see which is a more powerful java performer
Eventhough this phone is quite old, LOL, I think I'll bought it.. I do like 3120c but I'm on a tight budget.. Nokia the best!!! =)
amar, 30 May 20086233 ths is not a 3g ths a 0g phoneofcourse its a 3g phone.....
It never has hsdpa because hsdpa comes under 3.5 g category and 6233 is a 3g phone. It has hscsd. Never confuse between them
Fuzion, 06 Jun 2008Yes. It does support HSDPA. My 6233 is nearing its 2nd year yet it's still flawless! It's... moreWell. I get your answer. However, as i refer to josekym's post, said tat it is umts 2100 and will not support hsdpa
The 6233 does not, and will not, support HSDPA! It is a UMTS 2100 handset. =)
