wow sir rony thanks for the info hehehehe
it would surely help fans of 6233 and other fones which uses li polymer batteries
one question sir....would it damage the battery if say...I charge the battery even when the gauge is still "full"
sometimes the gauge isnt accurate as in some cases...it will suddenly deplete
so as a precaution, I usually charge my battery everytime I have a chance to do so...
Cannot switch on. Automatically turn of after booting up to nokia screen. This happened when transferring photos using bluetooth, and since never boot up.
This is my beloved phone. It just failed me again one day when transferring photos using bluetooth.
This is the third time, previously it's under warranty and hence I don't mind sending back.
can anyone tell me what is the problem???
SUPER__SAIYAN: The same goes for any mobile (or any gadget for that matter) that uses a Lithium based battery (Li-Ion or Li-Polymer). You might not notice the difference right now, but in the long run you will. For example, a battery that should last for 2 years will probably last for only a year if it is drained completely every time.
It's sad that many people do not know this since during the time of NiCD and NiMH batteries all hardware manufacturers would tell us to charge our batteries for 24 hours the first time, and drain the battery each time before recharging it. Those days are gone and these practices are rather obsolete. In fact, we should practice the opposite on the newer Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batteries.
You can Google for "Lithium Battery Care" and read some websites that could explain this better that I can. =)
Does it go wid ma se k550 battery as well?i do d opposite.i always drain ma battery to 0% n den charge it.its been abt a month now i hv had se k550 n d battery is going strong.i mean ma battery lasts over 4dys wid ease.shud i follow ur advice or continue wat im doing?ur response will b highly appreciated.
DON'T drain your battery, the 6233 uses a Li-Polymer battery and draining it would hurt it. if you want to keep your Li-Polymer battery in tiptop shape you should NEVER drain it below 25%. In fact each time you drain your battery to empty, its capacity to hold power is decreased by as much as 3%.
-Unlike Ni-Cd batteries, lithium based batteries should be charged early and often.
-Lithium based batteries should never be "deep-cycled" like Ni-Cd batteries.
-Lithium based batteries should never be depleted to empty (0%).

Iv owned a 6300, i found a really good Phone, but since its soo similar to the 6233 if not worse in some things.
i would go for 6120C i prefer it more. its a Great S60 Phone
Here are the things to do to monitor your battery life:
1. Make sure your 3G is turned off. Go to settings -Phone - Network mode then select "GSM."
2. Avoid using animated screensavers and wallpapers
3. Fully drain your battery at least twice a week then charge it while your phone is OFF.
* Now, if you've made these three things, monitor it for a week or two, then check if there is an improvement of your battery life. If not, it depends on your using habits.
