Overall 6233 is better, but 6300 has some advantages(new music player, better display, less weight...)
6300 is no match for 6233's sound quality because of the stereo speakers ;)
hi, have 6233 for a few days, even bought a bluetooth adapter to connect it to my pc. nice phone, battery not that great though :(
i have 2 questions: can i upload the firmware of the phone through the bluetooth connection to the pc or i must have a datacable, because i get an error?
can i forward or rewind a movie while playing, can i install another player?
I already own this nokia 6233.. its appearance is great and texting is convenient.. but i encounter errors like operation failed when it comes to editting an entry on my contacts.. some entries are successfully editted but most of it was failed. The battery power is kinda quick to be consumed and also phone memory has a very small capacity.
i suggest you to settle for n-series rather than saving a small amount for this fone..
hey buddies :)
can anyone of you tell me what is the message storage capacity of 6233
Moreover i am also confused b/3 nokia 6233 & 6300
which is better????
i have seen that 6300 has better video quality & supports more colours than 6233
Also tell me whose sound quality is better 6233's of 6300's ???
Thanks in advance :)
i m planing to buy this cell in a day or two. but i wanna confirm first wether it has any batery issues really??? plzzz reply...
Thanks for reply.
Well I don't get what you said...
Do you suggest that if I leave only let's say 1mb free of phone memory and then try to transfer a file that is f.ex. 6mb large the phone will always return an error?
Where's the logic?
p.s. I don't turn of the bluetooth.
nice to see familiar and new names here. been sometime now since i last visited this forum.
I'd just want to tell you guys that my 6233 reached its first year already...
you can check it out here: http://migs.wordpress.com/2007/09/07/my-nokia-6233-celebrates-its-1st-year-of-use/
Plus I've posted my 2nd batch of 6233 tricks here:

File transfer thru bluetooth.
- the default storage for files received thru bluetooth is the phone memory.. now, when the phone detects that the phone memory is low.. the file will automatically be sent to the memory card. except for files larger that Xmb 9i forgot the limit.. 3mb????) where the user will encounter an error message...
- If your turn the bluetooth ON, it will stay ON until you turn it off..
"open log" bug
- yes this is a bug on version 4.91 and 5.xx
- well..haven't found one yet!
i think Nokia 6120 is better than 6233
bec of its processor,3g and its look
very cool but it lake wifi
it just my opinion
helo..can anyone tel me that this fon is realy good?...the music of this fon is realy good?...
pls any body tell me, whether this fone has a2dp blue tooth or no???
Thank you for your respond.
Well it seems to be logical that 6233 should store files on the card automatically but apparently it doesn't.
It definitely isn't a bluetooth connetction problem itself because when file is about 4MB the transfer is being finished successfully. Problem begins when file is larger. The transfer bar shows almost the end but then shows an error.
What to do?
dear sirs, I have discovered some ost of glitch in the firmware 5.45....
when texting and trying to add a recepient select "open log" it will automatically restart...>_
your welcome sir ws ^_^
dear sir andress, 6233 will automatically store files larger than the internal memory of the phone(6mb) to the memory card hehehe
and btw...sir aritra
yes it seems that 6233 is having some problems in connecting thorugh bluetooth in some motorola fones and vice versa like the v3x
but it seems to be firmware dependent....it would be best if you have a 6233 with a version 4.91 and above ^_^
Can somebody tell me the web address from where I can get the latest software/firmware for my Nokia 6233...?Thanks in advance....
yes i like w810 very much too (as i like to listen to music & radio)
but in here its about $280.(USD) but i think its waste of money for a phone anyway the SE k750 is only $190. and nokia 6233 is $240.
will the 6233's hangup/freeze/restarting will be fixed in recent Firmware updates?
