NoName,

To hear MP3 in STEREO, please plugged in the STEREO headset. That's how you hear your RADIO is STEREO. Unplugged it, it willl be MONO...

As for the loudness, it's not really a big issue, in fact, it's an issue for other Nokia Symbian phones where it's NOT loud (too low in fact), you can hardly hear a thing with the phone on the table and volume to the max...

But I agree with you that the volume adjust doesn't seem to be working (correctly)... Perhaps they would fix it in the next firmware, hopefully...

    Hi Shanhz =)

No, the LED light will not blink if there's an unread message and will not blink as well if there was a missed call.

Though it does blink if there's an incomming call.

hi could anyone confirm whether the LED light on the front cover would blink when there is an unread sms? I believe it would blink when there is a missed call right? Thanks!

This phone has some good quality but let me mention the bad ones. The mp3 is mono, so not great quality. There is an issue with loudness on this phone. Radio is stereo but mp3 playback is not which is odd. a bit big shape but big screen too.

good side of things: movie quality is decent, very expandable memory. up to 1 gig i believe. pretty decent picture quality better than most phones. easily acessable software to modify phone.

The real big issue is the mono mp3 playback and the loud volume that seems to be too loud even on the lowest setting. Aside from that, this is a very nice stylish phone.

          Hey Slavyan =)

          Positioning is network dependent.
Ask your mobile service provider if they already have this kind of service and if they do, they'll give you instructions on how to set it up.

                            Hello Shahry =)

Symbian is an Operating System (OS) for mobile phones. It's like Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP for computers.

A lot of mobile phone users are comfortable with phones that uses Symbian OS because its easy to use, a lot of developers make applications for Symbian, etc.

Most Symbian phones are candy-bar style like 6600, 3650... Nokia 6260 is one of the first flip phones that uses the Symbian OS, though a lot of flip phones will be coming out this year that will use Symbian OS too.

                              Ey Red =)

                              no prob Ü
I'm using the black one and I like it a lot. Silver for me looks lousy and lame (sorry Ü hehe).

With regard to service providers, have you asked them already if they will work with this phone? I haven't heard any provider having problem with smart phones. They should both work.

Try to ask friends too or people on the net or another online forum like this that tackles about service providers. Because T-mobile may be too much but might have stable network or coverage while t-zone is cheaper but service may suck and slow or something. Or you can be right that they both have same quality and u should get the cheaper one if thats the case. im not really familiar with those providers so i cant provide concrete answer =(

it's a very very nice phone. I have it for the last one month, and it's amazing. I can listen to the radio, i can use bluetooth and infrared and the camera is great too.
can any one tell me what does the SYMBIAN means? i mean this phone is symbian in a flip.... rite ? so what does this symbian mean?

                                  once again......Owen 2 the rescue!

                                  thx Owen.

I like this phone (6260) but myworldphone.com only carries the black one and I REALLy like the silver one, but i may settle.

my only ? is whether t-mobile (USA) (t-zones) will work. t-mobile offers web service but @ $19.99 a month which is 2 much when t-zones is almost the same for $6.99 a month.

                                  thx again Owen!

                                    Hi Red =)

You can have the phone folded while using handsfree or speakerphone. Folded BUT in "browse mode", not closing the flip like you'll put it back on your pocket.

I do this a lot while driving.

Hope this helps and not too late.
