To Allan: Your Sound Settings should be adjusted. Your phone saves these setting & even after restarting it keeps settings. If your phone is not saving settings, Please Contact Nokia Care. If your MP3 Sound Quality is Loud and Distorted, It means that the encoding that your MP3 File is using is of very low Quality. Please check the Encoding Quality of MP3 File. If it is greater than or equal to 96KBps than it should be alright otherwise there is something to check further... Please let me know...
2-> That click sound is obvious because after 5 Seconds (As I discovered) phone buffers the sound and you get that "click" Sound Due to Lack of Hardware Resources. You should not get that sound when you are playing .mid, .amr or .aac files because file size is too small.
Even you can face this issue with video files.
To Titi: Night Mode Works Perfectly Fine. Sales Package doesn't include MMC Adaptor.
To Draconia: I don't have nothing for you this time. Didn't find any software... Sorry :-(
Hi, does anyone know where I may download (free or with purchase) the software to create and edit Word documents on my 6260?
Thank you!
I only have a couple of concerns with this phone: 1st is that my loud speaker volume cannot be adjusted so the MP3 play back is always loud and a bit distorted, is my phone faulty or is this in the design? 2nd when I transfer music tracks the playback often has clicks in the background, is this again part of the design or is the Nokia PC suite insufficent to use to record music?
I would really appreciate an answer if anyone knows. Thanks
does the night mode of this phone does not work pls help me. and does the sales package not include a adaptor for mmc
when u have tried other phones, user interface in nokia will seem too cartoony, thats my opinion anyway
Yes 3gp.
Am not impressed with this mobile.
I do not know what happened to Nokia.
There is not the feeling of something special when you hold this product.
Phone looks nice. Photo quality is good. Menu functionality and ease is acceptable. The negative point is in writting SMS / text message. It takes bit too long time to play with the selection of person to whom you re sending sms. The next negative point... difficult to use the buttons provided on the top flip screen.
Buttons could easily be adjusted on down main board giving the screen little more space to make customers happy with big screen.
I bought this phone. Used it for 1 day and since then it is in the box taking rest as I bought 3rd time new Nokia 6230.
NOT RECOMMENDED by me because the phone is not worth the money you will pay for it.
i have been using the 6260 since 5th Dec. incoming call reception is clear. screen resolution is good. camera pictures are life-like and excellent. fm radio is powerful and sound quality satisfying. overall the model is very functional and easy to use. getting used to the double panel keypads should not be a problem and once the user becomes familiar with the various buttons navigation becomes almost second nature to its owner. the phone is totally reliable and works for the money spent on it.
Hey , i got this phone about a month ago...and so far im so happy and it really doesnt have any big problem, the only thing is the speaker that when its on the high volume it has some noises!!
beside this!! itz a great phone.. u gotta get some good applications on it too!!
Can anyone comment on the batt life of 6260? I'm in a dilemma to get k700i or 6260. The reason for not getting k700i is becos of its infamous batt problem and also no mmc slot. 6260 have both but from the spec, its maximum talktime is only 4hrs. Not quite not enough.
material used u say? its the same plastic used on the good old nokia p1, hahaha, take it apart u'll see the power button is also the same. pathetic
To Gaurav Kumar:
Thanks for your feedback. It's been a great help. As for the Stereo sound, that's alright, as I usually listen to music on the go, so ambient noise is prevalent.
I'll definitely be looking for that Third Party Software!
To clayton:
I was worried about stinky suede too! Thanks for confirming that. And I am looking forward to using Bluetooth!
The material of the outer shell is a matte plastic. I have the black one, which is actually kind of a brown color (it works well with the two-tone effect with the silver accents).

Hi guys... Do you mind telling me what material the black 6260 and silver 6260 is made of? I want to buy the black 6260 by the end of the year but I'm worried its a certain kind of black which I don't like.. You see, I've only seen the silver ones in the shops.. They don't appeal to me as much as the black one does on the com. I want to know what it is in real life. Pls help.
I don't know what's going on with nokia.........I think it has back sliden alittle. I'm using a Mitsubishi M900 now. The phone is great from many aspects. I wanted to get this phone for my bf but ended up getting 6670 for my bf. Already, the phone has problems like sometimes you cant hear the person talking over the phone coz it gets so soft and all in a sudden it gets louder again and the whole interface is sort of confusing compared to older versions which are very user friendly. But my bf loves Nokia so......thinking of changing his 6670 with this one, 6260. I wonder if this phone is good? coz some dealers told me it's not? pls help
