oh man.. n6282 really suks.
take a look at tis website, tells u everythings abt network around the world
cingular US just started wif the network(wireless) seems like not tat stable yet
I heard this phone is goin to be the 1st 3G Nokia phone for Cingular US..
Their gonna call it the 6282
But i don't know what frequency it would run yet on the 3G UMTS technology in the US..
Because i heard their having a problem with FCC approvals..
They are trying there best to go with 2100mhz CDMA UMTS.. but FCC insist of using 1900mhz CDMA UMTS which is less power usage..
But that would totally sucks!! because alot of 3G phones are made with 2100mhz CDMA UMTS, and alot of country that has 3G tech.. are using 2100mhz UMTS..
I wish US FCC pick 2100mhz UMTS.. so we can use the european phones here also..
Tried a real one out in a 3 store earlier today. Pleased to find that it feels different again from the dummy model in CPW.
Very impressed. Good feel and nice screen. Now even more frustrated that I still can't have it!!
Leesoya, go to "europe.nokia.com" and choose 6280, like other nokia site. In the specifications:
-Java™ and Symbian applications available from Nokia Software Market
-Graphics: full-screen color wallpapers, animated color screensavers, icons, logos
-Ringing tones: 64 polyphonic MIDI, MP3, AAC/eAAC+, AMR audio clips, plus use videos as ringing tones
-Themes: Possibility to download new themes"
Please confirm that we can put gps, or if it's only for photos.
to sese! where on the website does it state symbian apps? dont provide a link please, as these get killed...... supply a description of how to navigate to this web page you talk of! thankyou or email me, thanks mate!
can the nokia 6280 rewind and fast forward while looking at a recorded video that was done
Nokia europe doesn´t say anymore 2coming soon". That´s a good sign. Also, they say, in the specifications, that this phone has some symbian aplications. can anyone confirm?
yupyupyup, im also the one who is waiting for the 6280 in australia. im getting furious..hope that will be available in this month^^ .............'praying'.............
got the 6280, overall a good phone, the downsides r that the clock is to small, u cant see how long u been talking 2some1, no minute minder, u cant rotate the pics, thats about it. 9/10
Nokia have completed Testing for this phone u should see it End of Jan...
Everything went smooth its a lovely phone...
but no Symbian
quite good camara
Music isnt too good
We are given the release date by Nokia, this is not the date we get it but the date releases the phone for sale in Australia. We are just going on the info given by Nokia Australia. Does anyone know of 3 or anyone else actually stating a release date? If so, please let me know. The reason you are all still waiting is the phone is still in testing probably.
gsmarena.com has changed the status of 6280 from 'coming soon' to 'avaliable', does it mean that 6280 has been released officially in the world wide?
would Australia just hurry up and get this phone...seriously!!! Btw, does anyone have feedback on the battery life?? How does it compare to non-3g handsets? Currently using the moto e1000 and i get around 1 day's worth on heavy usage 'if i'm lucky'..
yup, im using 6230 now, the screen always gather a lot of dust. just dont use tissue to clean it, try to find somethings cleanner from apple's ipod shop or spectical shop^^
Following up on Wyndham's comments: has anyone else who has this phone had problems with excessive amounts of dust under the screen? I used to have a 6230i and had the exact same problem all the time. Even though I periodically popped off the casing and cleaned off the dust, it would still come back within a few weeks. I've been scoping out this phone for a while but the dust issue is so annoying that if it is an inherent flaw in this model as well, I may just skip it. Any opinion/input on this matter is appreciated. Cheers
n80 wil be comming, but i dont think is tat fast. take a look at 6280.. stil unavailable since chrismas until.. even feb.
another problem for me is the system inside the 6280, it using S40 interface..is that we cant install any additional application in it? as i know, S60 above just can install.any one know more abt the s40 system in 6280??thanks a lot
