You people and my clones are LAME. More than likely, you are SE fans coming here and promote SE phones. Though I agree that SE Walkmans ARE GREAT too like the Walkman flagship W960 but NO mobile phone company can ever beat Nokia as always. As of now, still planning for a S60 Nokia this time as a replacement for my 6300 because my 6300 give me problems like the restarting when in a call and I will only replace it yet with another Nokia as Nokia is the ONLY way to go.
I own a 6300. I never regretted buying it.
It's Euro made. It has lived up to the hype of all the OFFICIAL reviews I read from GSMArena, CNET (still can't believe CNET gave it a high 8.5 as they are the HARDEST reviewing site and gives many high end phones 7 - 7.6).
Even an official reviewing company called mobile-phones-uk.org.uk said it's their favourite Nokia in years!!! and this company always seemed to be in favour of other brands.
When you go to the homepage of mobile-phones-uk.org.uk, right away you see the popular phones for each month. The 6300 has been on that homepage since it's review on that site. The only difference is that is no longer 5 stars, dropped to 4 now which is expected after a year long release. That site gave the 6300 5 stars for many many months.
The release of the 6300 has rocked the world just as the 6230 did when it was first released.
The 6300 is an EXCELLENT phone and NOTHING more needs to be said. End of story.
My girl CHESKA also reached the 6 day mark, more than once too.
We both have no reason to lie so who doesn't want to accept it, tough luck.
This is the EXACT words Cheska said:
"Hey Jamaican! 6 days battery life is not a headline for me anymore. Well, i just want you to know that i also have reached the 6 days battery life with my 6300 three times already. I'm just afraid to tell and share it because i know that people here will ignore it for all they know and believe is that the 6300's battery life is just poor and disappointing. That might turn out to be true but they should also bear in mind that using the "multimedia" capabilities of the 6300 would drain battery for sure. Of course, i guess almost every phone when you use its FULL (i mean all) multimedia functions would drain out a lot of battery for sure. I don't care if everyone will argue but i rather dare to say that the 6300 battery (based on my experience) is just average to excellent considering that it supports up to 16.7 million colors and considering that you use it primarily as a "PHONE"(i mean primarily for calls and texts). In fact, i have seen even worse performance from a 16 million colored handset like the N95-1 for example. So using it primarily as a phone, i guess the 6300 is not that bad. No offense to others as i'm just stating my experience and for what i think about 6300."

6300s battery su*ks.its way below average(i used 6300 4 2mths).those who r claiming dat deir battery lyf is gud enuf dey must b usin prototype battery or fon.so dun expect dat ur battery will b as gud as dem.
OJ's battery must be a miracle one must be with space age materials. i am in the middle east and i have checked with many 6300 users, they all said maximum 2 days the battery lasts and it gets hot while talking despite excellent network signal strength. even my 7500 prism made in finland has to be charged every 2 day.
6300 isnt to great a phone battery life is very bad wish i hadnt got mine
Whoever is contemplating on getting the 6300 go ahead and get it. It's a very good phone and a worthy replacement to the legendary 6230. Battery life is good as I got 6 days out of it and during those 6 days I used it for calls every day.
The 6300 is an excellent phone which is the main reason why it's one of the best selling phones of 2007 and still going strong.
6.01 is out for some regions but 5.50 is still the only available firmware for most regions.
6.01 was released in January and I really want it for my phone.
everyone's complaint that 6300s battery life is less and as per my investigation it's true.
6300's call quality is good, if not quite up to Nokia's own high standards, with a very slight muffling of the user's voice but 7500 prism sounds very natural.
I have scratch proof glass on my nokia but no it isnt a 6300
its good m also havin this
there's 1 problem
its sound is lower than other mobiles and we cant play mp4 in it!!!!
scratch proof screens are available only on high end motorolas. These are made out of synthetic Sapphire.
Theres better nokias for sound quality out ther but how do screens get stratched invest in a pouch or case or buy a better phone with scratch ressistant screen theres better phones out than 6300
Whats the Latest firmware for 6300?
is it still V5.50 ?
(i just want to know)
thanks for the info... i got my brain all scattered hehehe.. it was the other way around - Asia has 220 and U.S has 110 - so i guess the charger i have is ok for the 6300 since i was told it automatically would adjust
I totally agree.nokia shud act fast on dis matter.dey need 2 provide d same quality thruout d world.i think most of d mobile company providing d same quality thruout d whole world.
well said OJ. 6300s coming from china suffers quality and they cant be compared with european makes.
Yes there is an official Nokia factory in China so there are indeed authentic chinese 6300s.
I came across someone with a chinese version and they told me the battery life was decent. The only difference between the chinese and european version is the screen quality, audio quality and less power consumption resulting in a longer battery life.
Did read that 6300 was prone to gettin scratched somewhat but mine has not a mark on her pretty lil body as my g/f did sew me a little velvet pouch that i does slip the sweet lil 6300 into ever so easily, also got a little finger loop at the bottom of this baby as she is a little slippery in the cold weather.
