The only removable folders are the ones you create.
You cannot set files to be sent directly to the memory card. If your internal memory is low the file being sent is automatically sent to the memory card. That's the only way files will be sent to memory card.
I want to buy a Nokia Phone with in range of Rs. 7-8,000. Should I buy Nokia 6300, i think the battery back is very low just a day. Please advise me what should i do.
How can i change the saving memory for da received files like
MP3,video clips, etc from da phone memory to da memory card?
Whenever i've received some files on ma 6300 phone,I need to
move da received file from da phone memory to da memory card.
So,is der anyway to change the settings as i want da files to
be in my memory card without moving it...
To Original Jamaican,
Da folders m talking about r da one vic came along vid da phone.
This phone's box includes a pouch or a cellphone holder right? coz in nokia's site it says it has pouch but when i saw in youtube a video unboxing a Nokia 6300 when he unboxed it it has no pouch or a cellphone hoder ... which is correct w/ or w/o
@Original Jamaican:
Yeah pal!! just let me know when you get your S60 and I'll be there to give you the best applications available and if you have any doubt I'll be glad to help you to return you the favor when you helped me with my 6230 ;) and more recently with m girlfriend's 6300.
To LUIS:
My friend you are really cool. When I get in the world of S60 we will link up even more.
To CATHY:
The folders you are trying to delete, are they personal folders you created or folders which came with the phone ?
To Original Jamaican,
Hi there, after reading all ur reviews m sure dat you'll b able to help me and solve ma probs.Itz been a long time dat i've tried to delete some of the folders on ma 6300 phone memory bt i hav failed to do so till today,Kindly help me out.
@Original Jamaican:
Yeah you have done a very right decision, your 6300 is great. But about the data rates that's true, in my country is the same story and I'm not able to use 3G because in Mexico isn't available the frequence 2100mhz so I'm stucked with GPRS and EDGE.
About the navigation speed I'm sure you won't complain about it. The sluggy interface and long wait to open applications is gone for good in the new models since FP1 so you will feel almost the same experience to browse in the menu and applications like the 6300. You'll get even a faster response when you browse your pictures (that was a bad point on my 6230 and all the S40 that I've used) and when you run a JAVA aplication.
The only lag that you'll feel is the start time. On S40 you know that the start phone time is like 15 seconds or so, but on S60s are like 30-40 seconds (altough they are even faster than previous Symbians) but that's because the OS, it's truely justifiable.
But overall I think you'll like the upgrade. Imagine full multitasking, not limited to music player like your 6300, plenty of RAM and ROM memory, the safest Symbian of all times (you don't need an antivirus anymore because all the applications must be signed to be installed), I've never heard or experienced any case of a S60 with a virus, so you can be safe that your mobile will be fine and the Wi-Fi experience is something that I miss on my 5700.
Furthermore you will have a similar 2inch screen like the one of your 6300, the same 2mp camera but with the upgraded video resolution and better quality videos (and you can always download programs to watch AVI files) so you'll enjoy this phone so much.
Think it pal, if you buy an E51 or any Symbian 3rd edition you can ask me for useful applications and of course I'll give you the links or I can send you the application itself.
Just updated my phone's firmware to 6.01. The update process went smoothly. Weird, everything in my phone remained intact, including messages and items in the phone's memory. i thought everything will be wiped out after the update.
anyway, after the update i am so disappointed that my calculator is still missing! I've read before that someone also experienced the same thing with his 6300. could someone help me fix this please? =(
To Original Jamaican:
Alright. I understand now and i am accepting your apology. Thanks! And hope to see your comparison between 6120c and E51 soon! :)
To the fake Original jamaican:
Why don't you just stop that bad practice that you are doing and why not use your real name?
To the other people:
Guys and girls who are suffering from poor battery life on their 6300, why not try creating a whole black theme on mobiles24.com? I did it and my 6300 battery life last 3 days with ease!. First, use the camera of the 6300. Then, cover the camera lens of the 6300 "completely" by your hand and make sure that by this moment, you only see a complete black on the camera viewfinder and wouldn't see any white surface. Then capture that whole black photo and allow it to be saved on your phone or on the memory card. Then, use this shot as your wallpaper and as your background as well in the "Theme Maker" available at mobiles24.com. Just follow the steps on that Theme Maker available on that site and transfer your created theme to your 6300 and set it as your theme. You will notice that the battery life is greatly improved and you gotta try this because the battery life is really improved! Promise! ;) Mwuahh and many kisses to my 6300 and enjoy creating your themes there! :)
hey OJ
you seem to be getting into conflict for no reasons. stay away from these bunch of lunatics and continue your good work. one small advise stop recommending 6300. i think its best left to people's choice.
6300 a Great Phone all-round, its a Pure Legend
and now its Old on Gsmarena already lol
in the Real World 6300 is still a fairly New Phone
its the Best.
To CHESKA:
I'm sorry that as a newcomer you have to be in this mix-up with the Original and fake me.
I realise that people who logs in to this site from Opera Mini have a M@T2 code...which is what the FAKE poster always use, Opera Mini. You used Opera Mini as well for your first post which is the reason why I mistook you for the same trouble maker who always uses Opera Mini.
The answer to your question is yes, that was the fake person imitating me earlier with a fake apology to you...the one with the 2 1/4 lines apology.
Cheska, I ALWAYS use my PC to post my opinions. Whether I'm at work or home. My code always starts with a K. Sometimes 'KaKg' and somestimes 'KiQi', sometimes 'Ka85' and sometimes 'KaK7'. The other day I noticed my code was 'Re2}' but that's rare. 99% of the time you will see my code starting with 'K'.
The main thing to remember is that the fake one code always starts with M@T2 because they probably don't access to a PC and use Opera Mini each time.
Also, my name is always written like this 'Original_Jamaican' note the 'J'.
I'm glad you aren't having problems with your 6300 because many people here seems to. Mine is perfect.
E51 and 6120c review coming soon. Take care Cheska.
To CHESKA:
My sincerest apologies. I am always willing to help but there's someone who comes in here on a regular basis giving trouble and imitating others. Your computer code was the same as that trouble maker.
I will compare them both and give you my full opinion.
Once again I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. Hugs.
Hi all. I have a 6300
The fone is stylish and the colour screen colour is out of this world. But there is only one problem when i download video clips from the the PC the sound and vision is not coherent. can anyone help me on this>
To LUIS:
I will never forget people like you.
I did say I'm contemplating getting a E51 even though there are limitations like not being able to turn off the camera sounds...according to what I have heard.
At first I was turned off by s60 phones due to their bulky size, heavy weight and slow speed.
All that have changed since the release of the E50 but I wasn't too pleased with the feature set and I rathered the 6300 in every way over the E50. My desire wsa getting the 6300 and I would have regretted it if I had gotten any other phone instead of 6300. But in having the 6300, it's a shame to have such a beautiful display and not being able to utilize it by logging on to the internet, due to the high cost from my provider. That is why I am thinking of getting the E51.
Would you say these new symbian phones like the E51 are as fast as 6230 or 6300 ?
One of the reasons why I want the E51 is because of Wi-Fi due to my provider charging high rates for GPRS/EDGE connectivity.
Of course Symbian is a bonus too.
