well Original_Jamaican dinesh is just telling that K770 has the same display as Nokia 6300 i was a fan of nokia and was treating SE as stupid but when i compared 16 million colors to 262,000 colors of SE it's just the same ... and for great music SE is more powerful
Are you sure your phone is made in Hungary? you cannot judge by looking at the back sticker of the phone. mine is MADE BY NOKIA and it is made in FINLAND.
you are just not in touch with the news son.
More than likely you are a Sony Ericsson fan trying to give trouble. The K770 DOESN'T have the same display as 6300. The K770 have the usual 262,000 colour screen. Get your facts right before you post!!!
Battery life issues come with "made by Nokia" ones which come from china. I own "made in Hungary" one battery life is great with extensive calling and web browsing,
i have fixed my nokia 6300 directly to exide N40 car battery and havent charged once as one year has passed and the battery is still going strong.
The solution to all baterry problem is a high capacity bl-5c 1250 MAH battery from ebay. I have been using it for the past few month. it fets the 6300 without altration, and it gives up to 4 hours of talk time.
o it is hopeless phone in my life having very poor battery performance poor sound camera is ok not so good it i s having heating proble when connected to pc or playing songs for long time only one thing is great in this phone that is 16m colour display but by this dioplay it lossing the battery back up sony k770i is having same display but having very good battery back up.
Preach it brother.
The complainants here just aren't practical.
@ tif... Yes, My mp3 ringtones were also reverting back to the default Nokia ring tone, But it happens after i have removed and replaced my micro sd card.
If you are having issues with the features on your set it may be that you were unfortunate to have received a defective set.
And therefore it should be covered by warranty.
This is an occurance that can happen to any brand of cell phone, and it sure does, as every brand has defective sets from time to time.
For the price of the Nokia 6300 take a look at the ratings and then see that nothing can surpass this set in terms of function and reliability.
i don't understand why too many people are complaining about the battery. clearly, this is a SLIM phone with a 16 million color screen. i haven't seen any phone with those specs that has a superb battery life. for me, the 6300's battery is fair and reasonable.
I currently have 1,379 messages in my 6300 and the phone hasn't repored a low message memory yet.
what is really wrong with the batterY??? is it the battery which is just low in conserving energy or the phone which i taking much power on the phone ... and the battery doesn't fit the fone which is sucking more power
Do not buy this phone. You're better off buying an older model which has proven itself through time. The 6300 tries to look classy but really feels cheap unlike the older Nokia models. Nokia is cutting costs with their newer models, truly they don't make them like they used to. The battery on this one is terrible, to say the least. What's the use of lugging this phone around? You can't go far with it!!! A 2 MP camera is all that it's got at its pricepoint. And everything about it is crap thereafter.
to adel: oh my i would never do that to my beloved 6300! i am still hunting for a BL-4U battery which is of the same size as the BL-4C but has about 20% more power.
