can i ask here in the philippines there are only scarce cellphones which are made in Hungary well my Nokia 3200 was made in hungary and lasted for 2 yrs. eventhough it was dropped 50x... i guarantee that cellphones which re made in hungary are durable ... now back to my question would it be possible that Nokia 6300 can be made in Hungary here in the Philippines?
i love this phone ists the best ever!real handy and the features are great wonderful phone
To RICHARD:
If the manufacturers put everything that people cry about in cellphones then hardly anybody in the world would be able to afford them OR willing to pay immensely high a price for a phone.
The 6300 materials aren't cheap. The stainless steel is high quality and the black areas are piano accent. Manufacturers give and take to keep products in a certain price category.
Not to mention some people complained about the high price tag of the 6300 from day one...then suppose it had everything you suggested ?
hey original jamaican,
can you send me themes that has the color combination of blue and black, red and black, and white and black.. thanks!!!
me Richard I'm a cellphone addict i had 15 cellphones since i was in grade 3 and now still continuing to buy more in gr.6
I have had the Nokia 6300 for 3 days. I have watched the opinions of all for about 3 monhts now. I have bought over 150 mobiles in 14 years and don't no anyone else who is more addicted to phones or who has more. I don't normally by cheaper handsets which are on pre paid schemes as they are normally of a cheaper quality and built for disposable needs. Here goes my opinion, this little beauti is a good solid phone, its size weight and design is of a higher price bracket phone. The menus are o.k and the themes/ pictures are a bit cartoony the camera is borderline . The materials are of good nokia standards and the screen is super, (bigger and brighter than most compact phones), sms are easy phoning in/out are easy and anyone can learn all functions in about 2 daysMost of the nik naks in this phone make it a real winner.
If only nokia put in 3g , brightness control, better video recording a rubber rear panel ( so it doesn't scratch like the W8801), easier mini usb slot, bit more internal memory and better email functions, with being able to change the positions of files in the subfolders, then this phone would compete against most other top model brands and its own N series.
I give it an 8.3 overall and hope that Nokia will keep and improve this phone without increasing weight and size. thanks

To LIDIJA:
Mine was also made in Hungary and running firmware 5.50. No problems for me.
The fact that the battery can last up to 4 days with such intense backlighting and so many colours I would say is good.
Hello everybody,
I would like to share my experience with Nokia 6300 which I have it for around 3 weeks. I have red the user opinions a lot before I buy this phone and my biggest concern was the problem with the battery life which quite few users have reported it. So, on my first 3 charges i tried to follow the Original_Jamaican advice and the first time I have charged it for 24 hours. It lasted 2 whole days, but I played with it a lot. Then when it was completely empty, I again charged it around 24 hours and it lasted 4 days, and also the same after the third charge which was 6 hours. I was not really sure that it needs so long charges, but I did it anyway just to be on ease... Now, after the 4th charge I am using it for 4 days and it still has 25% of the battery. But, I have to say that I don't use the phone so much, on average I speak around 15 min a day, 2-3 sms's, maybe I take some picture, or listen the radio... If you heavily use your mobile, maybe you should consider another phone, but for me 4 days is quite enough. Also, I have to mention that I love the beautiful colors on the display, the sound of the radio is crystal clear, it is very compact, with sleek and handy design.. I love everything about this phone, accept maybe that the pictures are not so good when the lightening is low, but I don't mind this at all. By now, It did not make me no problem whatsoever. So, at the end, I can say that I recommend strongly!
P.S. By the way, it is Made in Hungary and it has Firmware 5.50
please help me! anyone tell me which phone have loud and clear sound 6233 or 6300

To NERO_COLE1981:
It has been confirmed that you can't do a hard reset on series 40 phones. Even if you were to pull off something like that you may end up crippling the phone.
Good day to all,
I would just like to inquire, does anyone know how to do a hard reset for this model (6300) and not just the restore factory settings?
Thanks...
