I've had this phone for about a month now. And I can say it looks like the battery gets better everytime I charge it. I didn't have to charge this phone for 2 whole days without the battery indicator going down one notch.
I just bought a 1GB Micro SD card today and the battery's already gone down one notch in just several hours of insertion. I just charged the phone this morning, so does anyone know if the memory card is the problem?
Thats all i wanted to say 6300 is good but not the best.I have always appreciated ur efforts.
ok relax people the battery on the nokia 6300 is not bad its amazing when you get it just kill the battery till the point the phone cant turn on charge it for 20-24 hours thats what I did and my battery is amazing
No phone is the best. There is always a better phone somewhere.
Every high-end phone have various features between them and each of them lack in some way or the other.
One phone might be considered better than the 6300 because it have document viewers etc. (D900i for example) but then the phone with document viewers (D900i for example) CAN'T save pictures from the camera directly to the memory card or support playing games or run applications from the memory card.
The bottom line is that you give and take with each phone so it's just a matter of what suits you best...a matter of personal choice.
I never said 6300 was the BEST out there, I merely said it's a very good phone and worth the investment.
I hope we can bury this now.
i've heard this phone does not have a good battery back up. Kindly help me know exactly about it because i like the phone and wanna buy. All the users please tell me whether to go for it or not.
6300 DOESNT have any business features as PDF or DOC viewers. If U wanna have it just buy Benq-Siemens S68. It has all of them including international dictionary. But its battery is very bad. NOKIA is number one and I will take 6510!
Anybody here can help me? Which is much better is it nokia 5300 or nokia 6300? I'm having trouble on choosing my next phone... thanks...
the phone looks good @ elegant , but za sound iz poor with out a head phone and the Batteri is not good enough , i think its suitable for gurls not 4 Boys
If majority of the buyers had no problem i guess i would not be seeing so many comments trying to sort or promote the set. I never told u the set is bad.You have been assuming that i have told that the set is bad, I just told there are better sets available.
To those people who complain about their batteries. I charged my phone this morning and after MORE than 11 hours of use it's still full.
Within that time I have made and received a few calls, sent and received quite a few texts, played 2 short video clips, switched on bluetooth and searched for a device and finally I took 3 photos.
The best feat so far is that I made a call and got 3hr. 39mins. of talk time...which is MORE than what Nokia said. I'm sure I can get more time than that too because I didn't make the call right after a full charged. I used the phone for a bit doing other stuff before making the call.
The very first time I charged the phone I played with it continuously and got 7 1/2 hours worth of battery life. There was NO SIM card in the phone that time. One particular review company said they played with the phone and got 5 hours worth of battery time...they said that was good...I got 7 1/2 hours worth of battery time so that must be EXCELLENT.
My phone was made in Hungary and firmware version is 5.50.
Mine was purchased directly from Nokia factory, maybe the difference lies there.
Go back to your Sony Ericsson forum. I'm tired of you people fighting out Nokia just because Nokia is the world leader.
The 6300 can multitask in more ways than one. Buy one and find out for yourself.
The MAJORITY of the buyers DON'T have a problem with it. That's why it's the best selling phone. It WOULD NOT be a bestseller if the features WEREN'T good and above average. End it right here. Thank you.
To Dercia Nhantumbo:
There are two ways of listening to music. Using the Music Player and using the Media Player. The Media Player method consists of you going to a folder and opening the music file. You CANNOT MULTI-TASK using that option. You have to use the MUSIC PLAYER in order to mulititask. This is the SAME for any phone which supports multitasking.
To Multitask start the MUSIC PLAYER by using the 'GO TO' option on the standby screen or go to . After the song starts playing in Media Player, you can press 'BACK' or press the END KEY (red button) which will take you back to standby mode. THE MUSIC WILL STILL BE PLAYING. Now you can begin mulititasking.
Sean asked for an opinion i gave him the opinion. screen alone doesnot make a good phone.Just becz u have a good experience does not mean the phone is great one. My phone is not a faulty piece. i dont wanna argue on this forever becz we had already had our say long time back.Thank you
I want to know whether Nokia 6300 can receive MMS direcyly on the set or not.I am using Airtel Service at present. At the time of receiving MMS my service provider sends a passwotrd for viewing on computer. Please suggest me by return mail.
I've been using thz phone for 4 months. This is really good phone. 2MP cam gives sharp pictures in day light. Sound is really good. I played continuous music for 8hrs and still battery is enough for me till next morning. This is not a smart phone or 3G however it gives most of the features in good quality for its price. Screen is so good and i dont have a single scratch after 4 months of use. You can access menu and other options while u play music.. just press end key during the play it works.
Only negative point that i see is the loud speaker. It's not the best sound u can here specially when u increase the sound. But i can give 8/10 for this. Now i'm going to change this to 5610.
I'm sorry, Nokia 6300 doesn't support multitasking. Sorry for those who bought it. Better buy Sony Ericsson next time.
