To those people who complain about their batteries. I charged my phone this morning and after MORE than 11 hours of use it's still full.
Within that time I have made and received a few calls, sent and received quite a few texts, played 2 short video clips, switched on bluetooth and searched for a device and finally I took 3 photos.
The best feat so far is that I made a call and got 3hr. 39mins. of talk time...which is MORE than what Nokia said. I'm sure I can get more time than that too because I didn't make the call right after a full charged. I used the phone for a bit doing other stuff before making the call.
The very first time I charged the phone I played with it continuously and got 7 1/2 hours worth of battery life. There was NO SIM card in the phone that time. One particular review company said they played with the phone and got 5 hours worth of battery time...they said that was good...I got 7 1/2 hours worth of battery time so that must be EXCELLENT.
My phone was made in Hungary and firmware version is 5.50.
Mine was purchased directly from Nokia factory, maybe the difference lies there.
Go back to your Sony Ericsson forum. I'm tired of you people fighting out Nokia just because Nokia is the world leader.
The 6300 can multitask in more ways than one. Buy one and find out for yourself.
The MAJORITY of the buyers DON'T have a problem with it. That's why it's the best selling phone. It WOULD NOT be a bestseller if the features WEREN'T good and above average. End it right here. Thank you.
To Dercia Nhantumbo:
There are two ways of listening to music. Using the Music Player and using the Media Player. The Media Player method consists of you going to a folder and opening the music file. You CANNOT MULTI-TASK using that option. You have to use the MUSIC PLAYER in order to mulititask. This is the SAME for any phone which supports multitasking.
To Multitask start the MUSIC PLAYER by using the 'GO TO' option on the standby screen or go to . After the song starts playing in Media Player, you can press 'BACK' or press the END KEY (red button) which will take you back to standby mode. THE MUSIC WILL STILL BE PLAYING. Now you can begin mulititasking.
Sean asked for an opinion i gave him the opinion. screen alone doesnot make a good phone.Just becz u have a good experience does not mean the phone is great one. My phone is not a faulty piece. i dont wanna argue on this forever becz we had already had our say long time back.Thank you
I want to know whether Nokia 6300 can receive MMS direcyly on the set or not.I am using Airtel Service at present. At the time of receiving MMS my service provider sends a passwotrd for viewing on computer. Please suggest me by return mail.
I've been using thz phone for 4 months. This is really good phone. 2MP cam gives sharp pictures in day light. Sound is really good. I played continuous music for 8hrs and still battery is enough for me till next morning. This is not a smart phone or 3G however it gives most of the features in good quality for its price. Screen is so good and i dont have a single scratch after 4 months of use. You can access menu and other options while u play music.. just press end key during the play it works.
Only negative point that i see is the loud speaker. It's not the best sound u can here specially when u increase the sound. But i can give 8/10 for this. Now i'm going to change this to 5610.
I'm sorry, Nokia 6300 doesn't support multitasking. Sorry for those who bought it. Better buy Sony Ericsson next time.
I have one 6300,i like this phone......Whe im listen music i cannot do another thing.I have to finished the music to check another things, send sms ,go to phone adress. Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
which is better between nokia6300 and nokia3500?
in terms of battery life, OS and picture/video quality.
i'm having a hard time choosing.
Don't be fooled by its 16M color offering, don't be deceived by its superb display, if you use the camera and transfer it to your computer, the picture looks pale (almost black and white). The only advantage of this phone is its slim design and excellent display.
Yes it's a very solid construction, i dropped the 6300 about 1 metre on a contrete floor. The phone survived, only just small mark on the body. It's still going strong after month. A great phone.
Battery life for this model is absolutely terrible. I don't stray from nokia because I've always found them to be dependable but the 6300 was poorly thought out. Yes it has great features, but if you want to listen to a few tracks, send a couple of text messages, take the odd picture and (God forbid) make a phone call all in the same day you better camp next to a power outlet, because your phone's going to need charging every day :(
Can anyone tell me if its possible to set songs as the ringtones in nokia 6300??
my father also use this mobile. i saw that the standby time of this mobile is very short than any mobile.when i saw this mobile first time, i decided to buy it.but now i don't have any interest to use it.
Not because you had a bad experience with the 6300 means that SEAN will go through the same thing. My phone is perfect. You probably got a bad phone.
I'm sure whatever phone you have now doesn't have a crystal clear screen like the 6300.
