hey Original_Jamaican do you work at Nokia or what?how do you know it only suports 176*144 resolution videos?just wandering.i will have to try that allok converter.btw: wich codec will make videos smaller?
if you buy the nokia 6300 from the united arab emirates or any islamic country speicllay in the holy month of ramadan you would get an islamic apllictaion that allows you to locate the kabbah, see the islamic calenders or can see reminders that can't be removed speical ones like the reminder of the first day of ramadan or speical dates like eid... this mobile as also opera mini an internet explorer that has also wikipedia (the free encyclopedia) website:en.wikipedia.org
is their a way to protect the black rear part from scratches except silcon its been only 2 days i got it it got millions of scratches
I'm so fed up. Everytime I try to respond to you the whole thing gets messed up.
First of all, 6300 supports the following video formats:
H.264/AVC (MPEP-4/AVC, MP4-AVC)
Avoid 3GP and use MP4 or H.264. Both MP4 and H.264 are encoded with stereo audio by most converters while most programs convert 3GP in mono.
Video bitrate has to be 176x144 otherwise videos WON'T play on 6300.
You can encode videos at high bit rates, as much as 512kbps. You can try higher than that if your converter have an option with higher bit rates. Be warned though that too high a rate will increase the file size by a wide margin and can adversely affect playback performance.
For frame rate, 6300 only supports up to 15fps.
You can select any aspect ratio. I normally disable it and go full screen.
Audio Bit Rate can anything you want it to be. Just like the video bit rate, too high an audio rate will increase the file size by a wide margin.
The 6300 supports both single channel (1 channel, mono) and double channel (2 channels, stereo).
Most 3GP files need to be encoded using 1 channel but some newer converters have changed this limitation.
I could write a novel on video codecs and audio codecs for use with phones.
The 6300 is the clear choice.
The 6070 is in a way lower class. It only has a VGA camera, 65k colours and a CSTN screen.
The z230 has a lower screen and lower camera than 6300.
i bought this phone yesterday and after a while it just switched off on its own i've tryed to turn it back on but it just flashes and nothing comes up. i;ve tryed charging the battery but that doesnt work either!!....HELP!
Hi i bought this mobile 2 fays ago and it is ammmmmmmmmmmmazing.......one question, i downloaded a game the sims 2, after i play it never saves it just says exit application and i always have to start all over again...what can i do?
Bought it for my son and when anyone rings him they hear "Girls Aloud" sound of the underground inbetween the ringing. He hasn;t downloaded this song - how does he get rid of it before he loses his street cred
orignal jamaican, persian girl or anyone else..please help me out in this matter...
I Ain't A Spam (hehe!)
it seems nobody read my earlier post/opinion!!
anyhow now read this and help me out!
i am in grave need to convert the music videos (*.mp4,*.avi(non-divx)) to *.3gp
read the previous post of mine... u will definitely understand the problem...
(1.) what resolution of the video should i keep?
- 320x240 (since this is the display resolution of the phone as well)
- 176x144 or 176x220
(2.) What should be the video bit rate?
(3.) i guess, 15fps would be the correct video frame rate.
(4.) what aspect ratio should i set like 4:3 or 11:9?
(5.) As for audio bitrate;
if i use xilsoft video convertor it displays a range of (32-320 kbps)
using super video convertor it displays a range of (8-13kbps)
using total video converter, i can select whatever i want
What audio bitrate should i select?? and should i select single channel (i.e. Mono sound)?
What audio codec should i select?amr_nb or amr_wb?
To LAVA GURL:
What firmware does your 6300 have ?
Also, please go to ,, and tell me how many options you see there.
absoultely FANTASTIC just bought it yesterday and its beautiful...cost me a fortune though.but its sooo worth it!
I quite agree. I don't intend to use any BLC-5 battery in my phone. It's NOT wise to play around with power. I have heard too many stories of generic batteries / improper modification of batteries which caused explosions.
I dont know why you are dong this blc5 conversion. Its not clever when the battery is only 9 dollars ( shipping Included for USA/CAnada) at emtccompany.com. Buy 2 extra batteries and feel safe that you have spare batteries charged and ready to go. Plus theyu wont leak due to sanding or explode.
has anyone updated there firmware to 5.50?
it saw it on this site:
wanted to get some feedback
i currently have 5.00
