This talks about Nokia's profit MORE than doubling this year.
whether or not Netherlands did a survey doesn't make a difference or change the fact that Nokia is NUMBER ONE by ratings and sales.
They currently have 38% of the market and it's expected that they will reach the 40% mark before or by the end of the year. Which simply means that Nokia would have captured almost HALF of the world's market.

hi to O.J. and allthe genuine 6300 lovers, i want to make a point about my battery life, i just want to say its very very good, just by making about 1 call a day and doing a lot of texing and listening to some muisc here and there i got 6.5 days out of my battery which is excellent in my view of, so people are making a lot of FAULSE comments on HERE!!
Thank you for showing up the illiteracy in SRB1. Some people just aren't savvy when it comes on to technology.
Even the manual INFORMS it's customers that battery life is dependent on many factors, the signal or your carrier being one of the main factors. If the phone has to struggle hard to find a good signal then it will obviously use more power, if the signal drops during calls it does a toll on the battery.
Every Nokia manual states that people ARE NOT supposed to cover the antenna area otherwise the phone will operate at a higher power level and many people DON'T realise that by placing their finger or fingers above the camera, they are COVERING the antenna which causes the signal to drop and the phone to struggle more during a call.
My signal is on full 99.5% (maybe even more) of the time so I have no quick battery drainage.
Even constant playing with the features doesn't do a big toll on my battery. On my very first charge, I got 7 1/2 hours doing nothing but playing with the features which is damn good in my book.
2 Srb1: you cannot deny that there is a "battle" between people saying the battery sucks and the battery is good. I am experiencing no problems with the battery. I have 5-6 days with fair usage (5 sms/day, 15min call/day). I am not lying, this is true. However battery life depends on a lot of things: bandwith of your carrier, coverage of the network, usage of extra functions (i dont use any, except for some games, 15min a day). I live in the netherlands so coverage is fine. I also use the 900MhZ netweork, menaing that it uses less energy from my mobile.
So stop saying that people are lying. Differences in quality of the mobile and battery are evident, as well as the difference in usage and coverage!
In the netherlands they did a survey.
Sony Ericsson is elected as the manufacturer who makes the best mobile devices. The survey was done under sellers and consumers.
The survey was done for 3 years. Whereas SE showed each year progress in developing quality, Nokia was flat. Samsung came back in 2006. Lets be honest, SE has best battery, best design, best features (they make phones complete) so I think they deserve this.
Only credit for Nokia is the 16mln screen which I compared to the 256k screen of SE and 16mln is obviously better, you can tell by looking at it. Also Nokia has better louspeakers I think.
SE has good callclarity, lets say excellent, also excellent reception.
So I am really regretting the fact I bought the 6300 because I liked the 16mln screen, but SE makes you enjoy the features in the phone without being afraid of a dying accu.
people complaining of battery are people who love the features on the 6300 but get frustrated by the samsung like battery and because they have bought a nokia they get very disappointed with the fact its bad as samsung batteries.
I think nokia is gonna lose customers on this one, to bad.
Somebody in this forum said that the longest battery life on any colour screen cell phone is 5 hours. I have not been on a straight call with my 6300 to see how long a full charge will last me, I will do so tonight and report back here tomorrow.
However, sometime ago after my phone was fully charged I played around with it, videos, a game or two and music, that was about 30 mins. worth of playing time. I went on a call after that and the battery endure 3 hrs. 32mins. so if I hadn't played with the phone for 30 mins. before making the call the phone would have given me OVER 4 hours of talk time.
People who complain about the battery in this phone either has a defective battery, defective phone or belongs to a SE forum.
The first time I held a Nokia 6300 in my hands I enjoyed the experience. The first time I held a 6300 in my hands the experience was mesmerizing. The VERY FIRST Nokia 6300 I held in my hands was 'Made by Nokia' and I did not see any fault with it.
GO FOR IT.
Yes mi fren, sen di pictures and video ...Jamaican dialect for you.
tot the poster below me:
stop lying about the battery, people are paying good money, so please inform correctly or shut up.
this phone truly rox!!! it has all the features a common man needs and looks awesomely sleek! its battert life is a also QUITE good!!!
phone cracks during calls, fix it nokia, otherwise no more nokia for me, i have principles, this is rip off. SE is so much better. Also battery must be cheap very cheao because its so bad, DONT BUY if batterylife is very important.
Really which faults can you find with SE? They have best battery, callclarity, solid devices, wont break, design is nice.
On the other hand Nokia is making a sport of it to make devices which arent complete and I do believe they do this on purpose, marketing. But they have to understand its not all marketing which boosts sells, just make complete quality phones then you have no problem.
if you can find a good battery, then the phone is very very nice, but bad accu spoils evrything. Otherwise very good phone, very nice screen, good soundquality, callclarity could be better, but will do.
Hey does the 6300 have a "wallet" feature? I want to secure some bank details. The user guide is a mystery to me
