By telling that the a specific model differs in quality based upon the country its manufactured i guess you are slinging mud on a globalcompany which is entitled to give the same qualaity of product all over the globe.
Are u tellin Nokia is acting like a step mother to asian countries
have u herad abt the chinese cloned version of nokia units specially 6300 that is a bandwagon in the philippines..it is cheaper half the price of hungarian version 0f 6300..can u imagine that an original hungarian made 6300 costs P12500 the cloned version is for only P5500..that's why im really confused where to look?is it the price or the quality?
The chinese version is NOT as wonderful as the European version. The Hungary made 6300 is an exceptional model. German made version is said to be excellent as well...any Euro version should be just as great.
Here's a quote taken from an opinionist called ASHWIN back in April 25th of this year
"There is a discernable difference in quality between phones made by Nokia(China made) and those made in Germany or Hungary. Ex: just examine the keypad of 6610 in a chinese made set and then compare it with a Finland produced one. I got so good at it that i would tell out a chinese one just by looking at front panel. I have always insisted on euro made set even if i have to pay a few bucks more to the dealer."
Maybe this quote from ME on the same date will also help:
"I have said many many times, the European phones are the best. For example, when I compare my Nokia 6230 (made in Hungary) to the US version or Chinese version there's a huge difference in screen clarity. The US/Chinese screen is too pale, lacks colour and is too bright when compared to the Hungarian 6230 that I have. That is why I always insist on the European made phones. Anything less is uncivilised."
AMERASIAN29, if you can only afford the chinese version then go ahead, great phone just the same. For the record Mobile-Review.com reviewed a chinese version and they gave it great ratings just the same.
The thing is if perfection is a must then go with Hungary made or any other European made 6300.
im planning to buy 6300 but one thing bothers me...china made is cheaper..i dnt know why???is there any disadvantages in buying 6300 made in china??
to ORIGINAL JAMAICAN: glad my input was of some use to u my friend, i just wish the 6300's haters wud leave this forum n go back to there own and stop making false comments about this excellent phone.
Good to know that you find the 6300's price tag to be reason as some people find it to be expensive. I guess it all depends how it is purchased, just like any other phone, it's obviously cheaper through contract rather than buying it straight from a store SIM free.
Good to see you old friend.
Well, I do know that the 6300 take damn good photos. No camera phones take nice photos in the dark...in comparison to a standalone camera.
I think I'm supposed to have your e-mail but send it again I will send you some photos and a video clip from my 6300.
P.S. I still visit the 6230 forum on a daily
basis and help out others
The 6300 has good battery life.
I left my phone charging overnight and this morning I turned it on at 6:45. I did a whole lot of stuff from making and receiving quite a few calls...believe me I did make quite a few calls to different people and received calls from a few persons, to texting and receiving text, to taking photos...I took quite a bit of photos too, 54 photos to be exact and I also listened to part of a song, basically half of it.
The battery did not reflect a drop in power until 1:05 p.m.
So the phone endured 6hr. 20mins. of tasks showing full power all the way UNTIL 1:05 p.m.
People STOP COMPLAINING about the battery!!!
btw im 786(your old friend) iv changed the name hehehehe!
Right i get your Point...
so is the 2MP in the 6300 the Best Around then ???
my 6233's 2MP defanatly doesnt live up to its chances its only good in Day Light ?
Here's a link of photos I posted taken with my 6230's VGA camera. The other posters were surprised at the clarity and asked if it was really the 6230's camera which took the photos. Click on each to see the full size.
Here are my photos:
I am a man who proves whatever I state. I can tell you from experience that the 6230's VGA camera is BETTER than the K700's. A friend of mine had the K700 and we compared photos and that friend was amazed at the clarity of my 6230's photos. They said their phone camera CANNOT compete with mines. End of story.
Please check out this official photo review link:
I have had this link saved every since I was researching the 6230.
Thanks for your input in regards to the Samsung G600 screen's quality.
I thank you because a friend of mine plans on buying the G600 and I told them that both my 6300 and the G600 both have 16.7 million colour screen displays. However, I told then them that just by reading the G600 specifications, my Nokia 6300 screen beats the G600 screen.
You have proven me right even though I'm yet to see the G600 in person.
Nokia is simply the BEST regardless of who is against them, the market sales PROVES that. People wouldn't use their hard earned money to buy crap year after year making that company NUMBER ONE in sales each year (Nokia).
Market Sales report up to last month August:
I just got this phone for 3 days now and I gotta say I've enjoying every bit of its simplicity and weight in the hands. Comparing it to many other up market phones. For the price you pay for it, the screen display is bright and crisp, it does not feel like tacky plastic as there is a metal back and its great for texting. Futhermore, it comes with a basic camera just to take average snap shots. If you are looking for a classic mobile phone that still feels rich at a low price, i would say try this one out.
to the person moaning about sound quality during phone calls, i can tell ur a dedicated sony ericsson fan trying to put nokia fans off this phone WHY? coz i don't think u actually have a 6300, n why wud u down grade from a 3.2megapixel K800 anyway
I will STAND by what I said, photos looks clearer on Nokia 6230's screen compared to the K700 screen, there are millions of posts about those two phones going at it head to head and in the long run the 6230 won...long after the K700 was forgotten the 6230 was still the talk of the town. The 6230 took FAR better photos than K700. I have a Hungarian 6230 with firmware 5.24 (best firmware for 6230).
To what that opinionist said about calls being clearer on 6230...ever since I started using 6300 the 6230 earpiece speaker audio sounds very monaural. In fact, both the 6230's loudspeaker and earpiece speaker sounds very monaural compared to the 6300. The 6230 has stereo speaker but it is evident that the 6300 has a higher fidelty stereo system to make the 6230 sound monaural.
Even with the 'Voice Clarity' feature DISABLED in the 6300, the person on the other line still sounds clearer compared to the 6230's earpiece. I should know, I use the 6300 all day at work and use my 6230 when I get home at nights.
Sorry for leaving you, I do regret that I went for this piece, but dont worry, next year, I will definitely will buy another qualitydevice that you garantee to deliver, like you always do. But we must learn from our mistakes and I did.
man!!! whats with the soundquality during phonecalls, I hate it, its below average compared to my k800, my earlier 6230 had a better callquality to, its not clear!!! fix the damn phone, nokia make another update or something, otherwise im gonna throw this thing away, why the hell did I listen to these reviewers, must be paid by nokia, definitely, dont have another explanation, i hav hungary and 5.00 firmware.
Its very simple, when you tell to the mass, one million times this phone is the best, people are going to believe it, no matter the faults, well i am not dumb, i can think for myself and i say it has very irritating faults, if you look for topquality pick something else, if you are used to devices like k800, definitely pick something else.
agreed, whats wrong with people and reviewers to act as if the display is a true rvelation or smoething, its just not.
when I read the reviews, i expected nokia had really did some improvement on the screen, but when i looked at it was, like my K800 and but a bit better maybe, but honestly, its very hard to tell the difference. its good very good, but a revelation not.
