hi everyone! i'v been using this phone for 2 months & i can say with no hesitation this is the best phone i'v ever used. simply astonishing!!! i used 2 b a s60 user n dis is my 1st s40 phone & my god this is brilliant. it looks good, its speed is good, sounds n da display is good...it feels good 2 hav something lyk dis in ur hand dan having a bulky s60 phone. just look @ its finish...wel the bottom line is NOKIA has done a good job. i'm sure all Nokia 6300 users wil agree with me.
This is a great phone. The extraordinary sound is even better and louder than express muic 5300. The picture taken was sharp and clear, with the colour close to original tone colour. Any one who is conidering it, dont wait anymore, BUY IT!!!
heres a TRICK that might b useful to a lot of people, the phone isnt bundled with a usb cable but is bundled with a cdrom, heres theTRICK i have a ps3 n the usb cable that comes with the ps3 also works on my 6300, just install the cdrom onto a computer/laptop then connect the phone with the usb cable, the cdrom will give u all the usb drivers u need, n hey PRESTO!! the phone is ready to connect via usb cable.
this is a really great phone batt life seems 2 b holding well thats with playing mp4 videos, listening 2 music, making calls, n the 16million screen is amazing, im never going back to 256K phones again, just have 1 problem with this phone, n that is sometimes when i connect to the internet it crashes, other than that no probs a all, no sound prob, no batt prob, no overheating prob, no screen prob, overall EXELLENT!!
Please all who have this phone answer me.
i bought one today but i can see in its screen when i activate the camera a green colore like lines so thin that it cant seen unless you concentrate. please tell me is that normal or it has mailfunction so i can replace it tomoro.
I don't know where some of you people got your phone from but my phone was European made, Hungary and I have no memory card problem, no battery problem, no overheating problem and no sound quality problem. In fact, the display and sound is crystal clear. I figure more or less the people who have these problems and more have the Asian/Chinese version. Check the label under the battery and if you see 'Made by Nokia' then you have the Asian/Chinese version which does house the type of quality that the European version does. I have seen for myself with my older phones that the European models are the best.
It amazes me how some of you people ask questions to which you could easily find the answer just by clicking on the 'SPECIFICATIONS' link.
To the person who asked how much memory it has other than SD, it comes with 7.8MB internal which is shared all over the phone. When I first got my phone and check the available memory the phone reported 5.8MB. So as you can see, 2MB was shared between other areas. However, if you want to reclaim the full memory all you if to do is delete the preinstalled content as most of them as java based. For instance, Yahoo! Go, which comes with the phone, takes up 1.4MB...which is quite a bit BUT with Yahoo! Go you get the benefit of checking your yahoo mail, using yahoo messenger and checking your PIM account. I have deleted anything that came with the phone, what I did instead was moved what could be moved to the memory card. I have moved quite a few stuff BUT Yahoo and the Nokia ring cannot be moved because they are copyrighted. Yahoo! Go can be deleted but it's such a great service to have ESPECIALLY if you have a yahoo account. Nokia Tune CANNOT be deleted but it only consumes 34.5kb so that's nothing to even worry about. I was able to move all the other rings that came with the phone to my memory card, only the Nokia Tune remains in the phone memory.
On a whole, the phone memory doesn't matter to me because I always use my memory card to store stuff and free up the phone memory whenever I can. If you are using bluetooth to send a file larger than the space you have in phone memory, the file will automatically go to the memory card. This is a lovely phone. My previous phone was the legendary Nokia 6230 so you know something had to impress me well enough to switch.
I can't find any suitable bluetooth headset. opposie party can't hear me very clear when I pair with Samsung WEP200 or i-TECH arrow. nice outlook
I have a correction to make. If you want the phone to go into sleep mode quickly go to DISPLAY settings and turn the SCREEN SAVER OFF and ensure that the POWER SAVER and SLEEP MODE options are set to ON. After doing all of this if you want the phone to go into SLEEP MODE in the shortest possible time, LOCK the KEYPAD and then press the END KEY (red button). The lights will go off in about 2 secs. and the date and time will be shown. Soon enough after all of that the screen will go COMPLETELY BLANK and the phone will appear to be off.
i wud prefer a se w810i rather than this w810i has better quality more memorey free 512 mb card free head phone it has infrared wich 6300 doesnt have it has flash which 6300 dont have better sound quiality then 6300 and does not have problems in not showing memory card and battery life is better than 6300 and if u talk for 2 mins on 6300 the phone gets hot and u keep on have to switching b/w ears. to avoid heat
i got my nokia 6300 after a lot of online research and trying out my friends phone(same one) whenever i got the chance.what matters more to me than features is the look and feel of the phone as a whole and i am more than satisfied!the screen is simply mesmerizing and the blue backlight on the pads and the steel casing with black glossy finish just gives it the extra edge.its very user friendly and pretty fast and has all the basic features you need in a "phone" and then a bit more to guarantee complete satisfaction.
the only downside is the battery life but it has been mentioned everywhere and one shouldn't expect any miracles.the camera is mediocre compared to other 2mp phones and has an average shutter speed.thats more than enough for regular users who use their phones just to make calls and send a few texts and play some games or listen to the radio or mp3.the sound quality of the loud speaker isn't that great but good enough to ring in your ears in a crowded place.the vibration is strong.the phone feels very sturdy and fits excellently in my hand.
im very critical about the way my phone looks and i've noticed that the blue keypad has some gaps in it which shines white light from the inside and ruins the whole feel of it.the nickel 4 way navigational key makes this sound when i press the down button and thats very irritating to my ears.but i guess its just my phone and it came from a faulty batch.i hope they give me another one but i don't think i can change it just because it makes a sound :S.other than than i give this phone a well deserved 9 out of a 10 scale.its by far the best phone i've had and i have a feeling ill stick to it for a long time.
if you want a phone that looks sleek and is better than average in every other aspect then you should definetly buy this.
can anyone tell me about the phone memory capacity..apart from the sd card..
