I realy satisfied to use this model.Very Very Nice Sound Quality and Colour Resulation.
i've got a Nokia 6300 as you all do here with all you whinings and disatisfactions with this gorgeous phone. It is a gorgeous simple phone! That's it.
You want better camera pictures, get a real digital camera, Sony, Nikon, Fuji etc. if you want the job done better.
You want bells ringing? go get a fire dept. truck siren.
You want a good stereophonic sounds? Get an Onkyo hi fi.
You want extended power on its batteries? Get an Extra one, otherwise connect it to a car battery and it will run for the rest of your life without recharging it.
You regreted buying it? Resell it.
It's broke? get someone fix it.
This is a less than perfect world for cellphones ladies and gentlemen, Nokia 6300 is designed as it is.. a phone. A smart beautiful phone. Technology is not a fault proof science, it keeps on improving.
Nokia has the best phones ever!
I have bought 6300 a week back. No doubt its a beautiful phone. But i am not satisfied with the camera clarity even at daytime in a slightly dark place, it cannot record any thing but only black shades. Other thing which i am not at all satisfied is the voice recording function. It generates a beep sound which other end can hear i have to stop this pls some one help me or else i have to change my hand set and bare a loss because of....
Purchased 6300 three days ago and I am already regretting it. Battery life is very short and the ring tones are almost very low .What Should I do?I expect better than this!!!!!

I hear from many people that the sound is not good...Actually i have different opinion..Except that,it is very thin and light. The keypad is little difficult for a man like me ,and not so comfortable for games, but generally I'm very satisfied..Not to mention the biggest advantage, the software and the plenty choices that you can find on internet!...OVERALL: SUGGESTED...
what a phone. don't see a problem with sound.it goes sooo loud. Camera is good n if you have a good memory card the nokia software is brill. using it you can put cds on it and videos but you have to change them into correct format first. Really nice phone much better than my old samsung e720. Features are good and battery life is good. it is really easy to work. Another good phone from nokia.
Just bought the phone yesterday and quite happy with features. Only problem can't get it to vibrate on incoming calls. Can anyone help?
I bought this phone 2 days back.
Am not able to play any movie file transfered from my pc to this phone.
is it my problem or all face the same???
Guys can someone tell me which is better- Sony ericsson or Nokia 6300. I have been using Nokia all my life and am scared to use any other brand. But in the same price you are getting a sony Ericsson with flash camera and better storage. So what should I go for....
Update your firmware regularly via the Nokia Software Updater program. That way, bug issues will be resolved. Nokia always have a way to satisfy their customers! Hehehe..
I've bought this phone about a month ago and i might say this is definitly one of the nicest phones out there. I chose it over nokia 6120 classic because i wouldn't need 3G as i haven't ever needed it and besides the prices of that feature here are quite high. More, the design is sooo much better and the feel of it in your hand: the other i could felt it was made out of plastic and the aluminium on 6300 make it much more appealing to the sight and touch. the only things that i could regret is the stereo speakers and the symbian s60, but the great s40 on the 6300 made that point not worthy.
certainly it isn't a phone for business men or mp3/games addicts, because of the batery issue. for those who know how to treat a mobile phone and that have a low to average use of it, it can last for 4 days, but i can say 3 may be the normal. Of course if you spend all the day using your phones features it will only last 1 day, just like i've done in the first day i put my hand on it. a trick i've learn from a post here to save battery is to always push the red/end call button after lock the keyboard, and of course always charge it fully. I've done the first 3 charges of 12+ hours with phone off.
As for the phone itself i'm so glad i bought it. the first thing you'll notice is the astonishing 16M color glossy display. All of my friends want to use it a little bit and they all say "oh.. it's so small and cool". The sound could be louder yes, but no problem to me. mp3 quality is very good with or without earphones. camera is ok for a phone as i don't give it much use.
Afterall 6300 is a great phone with all the top basic features. It is for sure a well made combination of style and functionality and it's for those with average use of a cellphone. A great buy! 8.5/10
P.S. If you use the # key to silence the phone don't upgrade your firmware to 5.00 as it locks that function :S . However, i was having some problems with the counting of the characters and the number of messages of a message and the upgrade had it solved.
