I have a nokia 6300 and i can tell that i use the phone like 20 mins talking and typing some text messages and the battery gets empty in just one single day...
may be its a slim and cute phone but you have to live attached to the charger everyday...
by the way... excuse my poor english...
it has proved that its the best selling phone ever it sold the highest number of handsets in all over the world bec its nice phone with every thing u need and reasonable price just batt is bit prob but nothing is perfect.......
i need a little help please. if someone can help me - how can i set to phone to show me the time i speak or at least to see the time i spoke at the end of the call? i really want to know how to set it. thank you
Amazing phone best i have had i only like Nokia phones. Camera is good for wallpaper and looks great on screen but average on pc. Solid build quality easy to use and great call quailty. I have had no problems with mine and it does not get hot only tiny bit warm and thats after long call. The warmth is probably my ear and i have later software but overall its Nokia at their best. Battery is ok.
The phone is fantastic, its crystal clear, only issue with the battery, it has to be charged everyday.
I m using this phone for last month..the shape is pretty stylish..but i m not happy with the battary life..seems i have to charge it every night..!!never the less ..the camera shutter speed is really really slow which spoils the total fun of taking a snapshot..i mean what is the use of having a 2 mega pixel camera and clear photo if i cant take photo of a fun moment?? i wish nokia company could see my comment.!!
I have a big headache when i started to convert video to this phone .......... the 3gp or mp4 video i tranfer to this phone(that i can play perfectly in all others phone which i used before ) become slow motion ... the audio come out faster than the video ...can somebody tell the sample frame rate and bit rates (not same as other phone)for this phone ??
sage, my friend [oops! Is it OK to call you that way? :=)]
I am a happy owner of a Nokia 6300. Bought it on June 8, 2007, on installments :-). [Another oops, I am happy though I made an installment-based purchased :D]. Trust me, sage. I do love how slim this handset looks, how crystal clear the 16M TFT screen is, how loud and clear the sound quality is (the default audio output is not, anyway), and all else. But... trust me, sage. The battery life is not much into my liking. I swear in the name of God I've been compelled to recharge the handset every single night since it got to be mine [on installments :-)].
Your "trusted" friend (?) of Indonesia.
I am looking at upgrading to the Nokia 6300 or N70 but both phones have comments that the battery life is poor. My current phone is on for about 14hrs a day only for incoming calls and text only. Do readers think that I will need to recharge battery daily for the amount of usage I have? Many Thanks.
it's a pretty phone i had it for a week now, sound quality is fine, camera and video is fine too, menu operation is simple (series 40), i just don't like the battery life (i wonder if it really works charging it drained for 12 hours???), what's a phone for if the battery don't lasts when needed... (,")?
^this was my first comment, yes i drained my battery and charged it for 12hours, it didn't work for me, the battery life is still the same, this phone is fine but the battery is useless, it's a shame i wasted my money on this instead of a better brand, i hope nokia reads all these comments.
This is my honest opinion about this phone:
Battery life: 2 days (with normal usage which is 1 hour a day + 5-10 text messages)
It does get warm, but it doesn't burn.
You can set mp3 as a ringtone.
It is not as loud as 6230 but it's quite all right.
Voice volume is kinda low (again compare to 6230) but Voice Clarity function helped a little bit.
This phone is quite good enough, but the battery never the less give me disapointed. Crystalize look and elegant. But poor view with 2 MP camera's. Competitive pricing, slim body (I like it very much), and handy intuitive button
I own ten phones. This has become one of my favourites! No creaking anywhere (not like my N73 - the plastic case creaks and makes the phone sound cheap!). The 6300 is so nice to touch. It has great features. it is really attractive and webcruiruising is a brez! This will be a top seller! I can recommend this phone without hesitgtiom!
Anthony Burger had the best opinion!
On a different note - the handset does have some problems! Definitely over heats! The battery simply isn't powerful enough to power the device! On board memory is poor, I will have to buy a 1-2gb sd micro memory card to accommodate this! Camera is shoddy, there a few options to enhance/change the photo/video setup. However the screen res is good, the fact you have to remove the back cover to get to the memory card and usb port is a good idea! It protects them - pure and simple. The handset is light and slim and very easy to use. It isn't a bad handset but it is far from perfect! I am keeping it due to the tariff I am on!
I want to bye this phone can nebody tell me could i download ne new software in this phone. Cause i heard jave doesnt support that
HEY! i'm 15 years old but im old enough to avaliate this phone. have it since last week and i love it. samll and sharp, very functional. i dont understand toyguys, always complaining: 'the battery lasts a day'; when i recieve it i used till the battery end and then charged it for 12 hours, now every time i charge it it gave me plus 12h of battery time at least for more ten days :P
i usually play games, send LOTS OF SMS'S, play music and radio and the phone battery is ok during 3 days, i hope that the battery life grow till a week :D
th menu is simple, the screen is AWESOME, seriously, i love it .
