Like the phone it is smart and easy to use. No complicated functions. The only thing i would say is i have only had the phone for 1 day and it already needs charging and I have hardly used it. Apart from that very happy.
my friend using the same complained about low battery time. battery is poor.....
What Nokia forgot to tell you in 6300's ads is that you've got to be aware of a possible design/production flaw in 6300 or maybe a faulty batch of the phones released to the market worlwide. The flaw results in the phone is "losing" memory card: suddenly the memory card disappears from the Gallery menu. Sometimes it suddenly re-appears, but not for long, in a couple of minutes it's gone again. You may find any complaints about this here: discussions.nokia.co.uk/discussions/board/message?board.id=phones&message.id=17758 but you will not find any Nokia's reaction. None there, none in media, none in the field. Without making much noise, without a product recall announcement, Nokia just make people spend their time and money to bring their _new_ phone to service centers, where it is repaired, and this may take considerable time.
And this is not the only flop. For example, the magnificent display, which should have given Nokia an advantage over similar competitors' models, becomes the battery killer, eating it away in one day. And since the phone is slim, more capacious battery doesn't fit.
Bottom line. Whatever this phone looks fancy, featured with stuff, etc., it's underdone. Add here Nokia's reaction (or actually, no reaction) disregarding the complaints, yield totally frustrated customers. Wanna join them?
I used this phone from Feb/07. Its a great dandy design NOKIA phone. But im suffering from such as:-
1) Poor battery: about 1hr. talk time.
2) Poor image quality in room light condition.
3) Very slow to capture image.
4) Poor internal memory
5) During video playing(not recorded from phone) audio comes fast out then video.
Please anybody suggestes me how can i overcome this problem.
This is my second review over this phone . I use it now for a month and i still say it is the best phone ever. Very sleek, looks very expensive and a great menu with just enough applications. My battery lasts for 3-4 days with normal use. It gets a bit greasy when u use it but the case is very strong. Yes it fell of the tabel because of the vibration option that was on. :-) Still like new.
When you buy it: first thing is you charge it for 12 hours than you put it on and use it untill it is out of battery, than recharge it for 12 hours. Enjoy
I'm considering this phone but the battery life concerns me. Can someone please give me a definite answer? There are some contradicting posts about the battery life. Apparently the battery for the nokia 6234 is much better..should I rather consider that?
And does this phone support mxit?
I have had this phone for about 5 days and i got to say its excellent ,nice style and the sound is clear and loud but the internal memory is rubbish almost lyk the razors mem , and you cnt send anythimg more than 7.8 mgb to the phone !
I have a nokia 6300 and i can tell that i use the phone like 20 mins talking and typing some text messages and the battery gets empty in just one single day...
may be its a slim and cute phone but you have to live attached to the charger everyday...
by the way... excuse my poor english...
it has proved that its the best selling phone ever it sold the highest number of handsets in all over the world bec its nice phone with every thing u need and reasonable price just batt is bit prob but nothing is perfect.......
i need a little help please. if someone can help me - how can i set to phone to show me the time i speak or at least to see the time i spoke at the end of the call? i really want to know how to set it. thank you
Amazing phone best i have had i only like Nokia phones. Camera is good for wallpaper and looks great on screen but average on pc. Solid build quality easy to use and great call quailty. I have had no problems with mine and it does not get hot only tiny bit warm and thats after long call. The warmth is probably my ear and i have later software but overall its Nokia at their best. Battery is ok.
The phone is fantastic, its crystal clear, only issue with the battery, it has to be charged everyday.
I m using this phone for last month..the shape is pretty stylish..but i m not happy with the battary life..seems i have to charge it every night..!!never the less ..the camera shutter speed is really really slow which spoils the total fun of taking a snapshot..i mean what is the use of having a 2 mega pixel camera and clear photo if i cant take photo of a fun moment?? i wish nokia company could see my comment.!!
I have a big headache when i started to convert video to this phone .......... the 3gp or mp4 video i tranfer to this phone(that i can play perfectly in all others phone which i used before ) become slow motion ... the audio come out faster than the video ...can somebody tell the sample frame rate and bit rates (not same as other phone)for this phone ??
sage, my friend [oops! Is it OK to call you that way? :=)]
I am a happy owner of a Nokia 6300. Bought it on June 8, 2007, on installments :-). [Another oops, I am happy though I made an installment-based purchased :D]. Trust me, sage. I do love how slim this handset looks, how crystal clear the 16M TFT screen is, how loud and clear the sound quality is (the default audio output is not, anyway), and all else. But... trust me, sage. The battery life is not much into my liking. I swear in the name of God I've been compelled to recharge the handset every single night since it got to be mine [on installments :-)].
Your "trusted" friend (?) of Indonesia.
I am looking at upgrading to the Nokia 6300 or N70 but both phones have comments that the battery life is poor. My current phone is on for about 14hrs a day only for incoming calls and text only. Do readers think that I will need to recharge battery daily for the amount of usage I have? Many Thanks.
it's a pretty phone i had it for a week now, sound quality is fine, camera and video is fine too, menu operation is simple (series 40), i just don't like the battery life (i wonder if it really works charging it drained for 12 hours???), what's a phone for if the battery don't lasts when needed... (,")?
^this was my first comment, yes i drained my battery and charged it for 12hours, it didn't work for me, the battery life is still the same, this phone is fine but the battery is useless, it's a shame i wasted my money on this instead of a better brand, i hope nokia reads all these comments.
