I bought this phone last sunday. It looks and sounds great.
Can someone tell me how can I switch b/w applications. In other Nokia phones this is done by holding the gallery button. This phone doesn't have one !
Just bought this fone.
This is sleek and filled with functions.
Bought Nokia 6300, had it unlocked, installed software from disc, connected phone to PC via USB cable, upgraded software from nokia site, was bluetoothing files from PC, then crash, phone won't even switch on, just sits there flashing blue lights at the sides. What a piece of crap!
absolutely unbelievable! i've been using the 6230i for the past 2 years just waiting for something to come out that could top it, FINALLY its here. the 6300 is the best phone from nokia to date. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Hi frnds.. Actually i want to buy this phone.
Bt i dont knw much abt it....
so can u give me some suggestion which one would be better to buy...
do you know where I can find free software applications for this phone?
I think the sound quality is plenty enough for me. I haven't tested it in a loud environment though, but in a quiet environment I can still hear clearly at a distance with the volume at its lowest.
To Garcia, if you are using the email and SMS clients to store in memory card then switch that back to phone memory to be able to use phone in mass storage mode when connecting via USB.
Maybe the getting hot problem is an issue with a specific batch of 6300s and not all of them... and what about the sound quality of calls through the phone's normal speaker (ear piece) ??
When using the data cable, you don't need to take off the battery cover. Mine works fine.
I talk on the phone for much longer than 5 minutes and it doesn't get overly hot. Some people have reported that but mine hasn't any problems.
After using this set for one month let me sum up the pros & cons I hace noticed as per my usage:
Superb screen (Excellent clarity and brightness, one of best I have seen on a phone and the USP of this phone (along with the slim size) )
Slim size (for a Nokia)
It is a Nokia
Extremely Low battary life ( around a day of normal usage)
Average Camera (blured pics even on the slightest handshake, poor night pics, no flash)
DIfficult to find applications as this is a Java phone
To plug the data cable; battary cover has to be removed.
Average sound through the speakers (both for calls and mp3 play back)
Prone to scratches due to the matal body.
I bought this phone about a month back and am now dissapointed about the low battary life. Even with medium usage the charge last for 1 - 1 1/2 days only. In case you are charging your set at home you will have to charge this daily or the phone will shutdown before you reach home on the second day.
I want to buy this phone and my confusions (battery time is no issue) can only be removed by existing 6300 users; so here go the questions:
1. I have heard that the sound quality through the ear piece is not that good, is it true ?? if true, how bad is it e.g distortion etc. what is the issue?
2. The phone gets really hot after only approx. 5 minutes of talking; and after this amount of time the sound quality gets even worse and continues to be that way until end of call. Is it true?? any comments regarding these?
Nokia 6300's veary good idea new generation mobile. It's smal and mince telephon.I recomend this mobile.
I have a plan to buy a nokia 6300.But i am in a confusion that is from my friends and from these opinions I could understand that the battery backup is bad and the sound quality is poor. And also i heard that we cant adjust the brigtness,it is very bad.So i am waiting to buy a best phone.I have no idea.
Actully overall..is this a nice hp or it js like user who talking battery problem..do it hv other bad functions...by the way no flash how to take picture at nite
Nokia 6300 does not support 3G system, therefore it will not be able to work with 3G.
i am using nokia 6630 but i wana change it and want to buy any other nokia brand i have checked many but still i have confusion regarding mobile memory.
for example: in nokia 6300 it is written microSD (TransFlash),
- 7.8 MB of user memory
and in nokia 6151 it is written
microSD (TransFlash), hotswap
- 30 MB internal memory
and confusion is that how much external memory card we may insert as behind the phone memory......
