I would have chose 6300 if it had a normal nokia battery life...its got the worst battery...it attracts me in it slimness and screen.... rest all mark goes to 6233... the perfect fone to me.....
One of the sleekest sets Nokia has produced till to date. Brilliant screen colours. Decent screen size. Beware of finger smudges and scratches on both the plastic and metal covers. I suggest keeping it in a protective casing. Solidly built. Mini SD available. Poor camera and video recording. Volume buttons on the side hard to press. No 3G. Earphone could have been louder; a definite problem in a crowded place. The painted red power sign on the power button on top will not last long; mine lasted a week .... it just vaished with the touch. Otherwise a great phone. Otherwise you can say 'A fit phone with a mild case of flu'. For looks i give it 8.5 out of 10. Camera get a poor 5. Functionality get a 7.8. Screen colour gets a whooping 9. Recomended!
Super mega telefon.
my opinion is that 6233 is better then 6300 for these reasons:
3G (6300 non 3G)
perfect nd decent body
3D speakers
microSD slot (upto 2GB)
battery life longer than 6300
better camera
^^my opinion
which is best then 6233 or 6300 ???????
I bought this phone 3 days ago and its going simply awesome. No complaints, battery, color, camera. Audio is also cool. Go for it!

I just got the phone recently and I think it's great. Although the volume of the ringtone wasn't as loud as N70 (previous phone I had) and the vibration isn't that strong, the display is really great. I'm not a very heavy user so the battery works fine for me.
The BL-5C battery in my phone lasted just about the same as the original battery. Sorry to disapoint you all who were hoping to hear otherwise. This is the case with my phone/usage/setting. Not saying that it doesn't work better for other users. So in conclusion, don't bother changing the battery, won't help you much (if you ask me) Just learn to live with the so-so battery life of the original one. Cheers
hi, just bougth the phone. Absolute beauty. Just wanna ask one thing, the preloaded games are missing, the seller opened five boxes and nine had the preloaded games, please advise.
my opinion is that 6300 is better then 6233 for these reasons:
NO 3G
slimmer lighter body(better designed)
miniUSB slot(which i need)
microSD slot
16M display
6300 can be unlocked(6233 is BB5 protected can NOT be unlocked)
^^my opinion!
Well, I hesitate between Nokia 6300 and Nokia 6233 as I see the only deference between them is the better display on 6300!
But 6233 has 3G and stereo speakers, what is your oppinion?
Thanks!
i have this phone and every other phone and they're all useless, i tell my 6300 to kiss my wife when im watching football and it goes too far and fondles her a bit more than i am comfortable with. in conclusion the 6300 is brilliant with an excellent silk factor...

@primo_usa: waiting for your test result :)
Some time back when I was in Karachi, i saw a sign board displaying this set. My friend Tabita got interested to buy the 6300 soon. She asked me for the opinion, I said i have no idea about this model. Moreover, and except some older models---Nokia cell phones never clicked me and I am fan and user of SE phones and currently using Sony ER K-790 and i-mate phones. Last week she bought the 6300 from the local mz shop in Karachi. On her request; I am writing this opinion.
Quote: The phone is good with slim line design. The screen is bright and impressive to look at but it consumes most upper portion in a bit odd proportion with a control curser patched just in between. The display is decent but I could not find much diffrence in image quality while comparing with my Motorola Rizer series set, who doesnt boast about color jargon such as 16 M colors or so. The display measurement could be slightly better but in no way out class my other set the MOTO-R. The video
streaming is below average as it has blocks in recorded footage so vivid to be denied. Stills are fairly decent but does not seem as sharp as of older Nokia N-73 which my boy friend has. Sound, music, entertainment options fairly are Ok. Battery Life could annoy many if you listen plently of music with display option on. usb Storage system is OK, nothing special, most brands give this option. I should feel contended with my new 6300, but some how it leaves an unsatisfied feeling after paying 18 + PKR.
UNQUOTE: That all folks and given the above it is a decent set and my view it does not deserve an A plus. On a scale of 1 to 10. It should merit 7.1. Thanks.
Absolute quality.
Very solid feel, metal finish is absolutely stunning, as is the screen quality.
Buttons are of perfect size, on drunken nights out, msgs turn out perfectly legible, which never happened on my last two phones.
Excellent functionality.
Only downside is the camera (average) and volume buttons.
Also, the metal back plate tends to get scratched easily, especially when carrying car keys etc in same hand as the phone.
Overall, though, an excellent product.
Extremely happy.
i am using since 98 hours .
phone is cool ,\
battery life is very bad
volume switch is too hard
veery hard to configure for gprs
