ok.. can any of my friends here answer the below :
1)Display: Is it similiar to N6131 where the matrix appears to float above the backlight??
2)Sound: Is stereo widening option available??
3)Theme:Is the great Soccer theme present in N6131 also available in 6300??
OK enough for now.
you CAN access menu thru the numeric keypad by first, pressing the 'MENU' button, then press the corresponding numbers, PROVIDED u know which feature u want.
if u want to clear the message recipients log list, (assuming you never move the folders/icons about), its 'Call Log -> Clear Log Lists -> Message Recipients'.
SO, after pressing the 'MENU' button, all u have to do is to press 3 -> 5 -> 6.
So to refute that you cannot access the menu thru the NUMERIC keypad, ur wrong.
Anyway, wats the difference between using the numeric keypad and the navigation button? Does it make ur life easier?
To compare that Nokia is lousier in this aspect, ur mentality's flawed.
i think it is the slimest phone launched by nokia but it,s battery is too poor i can,t tell replace it,s battery
Can anybody tell me what is difference between 265K and 16M color?Which one is better?
you surely can press middle button of the joystick/d-pad in SE phones.
and don't forget about accessing menus using NUMERIC keypad. it's FASSTT!
Nokia can't do that.
no the menu sytem in 6300 is Fast its faster then SE menus on SE phones the side button has to be pressed to go to the Menu but Nokia you simply press the Middle button which gives a quicker response the Nokia Symbian 40 is fast dont be foooled if they say its slow its Fast!!
Well 6300 fellows..I have changed my mobile's battery..a little cutting of front plastic from battery will make it fit in 6300. my mobile's backup time has been doubled. total satisfaction and peace of mind. make sure that bye an original BL5C from reliable shop. cost US 8/-. bye
since when the interface speed of this phone is slow???
battery life, i agree dat its short..but to say the speed of this phone is slow...ur comparing it with which other Series 40 phone Mister???
No offences but i have never liked nokia for its slow speed and bad battery life. This phone though stands apart on one category that is its slimness apart from it rest all is normal. i just don't understand why guys at nokia are not incrasing the talk time of their phones. This is such a wonderful looking phone backed up my slow speed and less call talktime. I myself would prefer a asus or a S.E. anyday.
speaker is loud! ther is ONE speaker, but ok :)
no wallet in 6300, but you can instal prog like Mobile secretary, Safe, Watchman....
can someone tell me of the battery life on 6300?can i change the present BL-4C battery and use a better one???
I am still debating weather i should get this phone Nokia 6300 or the Sony Ericsson k550i. How fast does the battery drain out on the Nokia 6300? LMK thanks
A few ideas about those batteries:
Do not believe in the capacity rating printed on batteries sold via ebay from Hong Kong: They claim to be 1000 maH, but measuring the capacity (using a cadex battery tester) reveals the fact of a mere capacity of 750 mah!!! (I'm an electrical engineer working for a telecom company, and we use cadex testers to verify batteries)
A 900 maH battery may perform better than a 1100maH battery, the usable amount of battery depends upon the powerdrain profile of the equipment.
Do not try to modify batteries, any thinning on the metallic case is a poor point for probable explosion (a nonzero probability of explosion should be taken into conideration)
It's not worth of it. Go and buy another phone.
I personally like this phone, however i think these so called "New Generation" of phones are still not up to standards to compare with the new technology which is available. For eg all these new phones being released are all the same as each other but with different looks/casing. For Eg 2MP camera phones stil being release.. whats all this about , its not new , its old news when a phone is released it should have al new features etc. I dont agree with how these companies operate it gets on my nerves
