To the Nokia 6300 owners:
I've got my phone from an online shop, since it didn't came in vodafone yet. I have a little problem, the seller said every 6300 has: when u shake the phone abit, it does a little noise, near the speaker-in the top of the phone, it sounds like a little stone going around in a soccer ball..I'm not sure if i made myself clear, but could you PLEASE try to see and tell me if your phones do the same thing?(must be silence in the room to hear)
MANY MANY THX IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the ones who want to buy 6300:
I've just bought this wonderful phone, I have no problem with the battery(is true, i'm not a bussiness person though), the sound quality is very good, the camera is just great for a 2MP and the screen and design left me speechess. ;+)
the phone no doubt is very good , sleek , trendy and the resolution is awsome but nokia ha to work on its battery back-up. its very poor. all over a cool phone...
Well material used in nokia 6300 is not metal rather it is plastic polished like metal see this web site for complete review of nokia 6300 www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-6300-en.shtml
"this is a nice phone, but in my opinion nothing special. bat life is also poor. i agree 6131 is better!"
I have never read such rubbish in my life! How can the 6131 and the 6300 even start to be compared?? Oh i know, they are both made by nokia... thats it! 6300 is superior design, metalic features not plastic (drop your 6131 and see how mant imes it doesnt bounce), not a stupid gimmick phone (wow, the button on the hinge makes it flip!) and has far more advanced features and memory, not to mention the 6131 is crap.
seriously, between 6233 and 6300? 6233 is a 3G phone, and the 6300 is not.
i came in with 6230, then moved on to 6230i. then 6233 came and i tot that's the successor to the outstanding 6230i... but, I did not buy it because the design is not to MY taste. too bulky. so i bought 6125. then came the 6300 - i grabbed it at first sight. design is always one of the key decision making criteria for me.
opss.. another typo...
what i meant to type was...
*only 2 ways to xfer files into the PHONE.
only 2 ways to xer files into the file... well 3 actually.
1) via the USB cable.
2) via Bluetooth.
and the 3rd one...
3) microSD card reader! it's the easiest and cheapest way. but you can't synchronize your phone with Microsoft Outlook this way, naturally.
the 6300 is better than the 6233 but consider the n70 cause the price has come down and a much better phone
i just got this phone and i am quite happy with it, i enjoy using it, the only problems i have is when you put a video from your comp onto the the phone it looses quality and when the volume in on max than sometimes you can hear a slight crackling noise otherwise its brilliant and the camera is pretty good aswell. 7.5/10
In answer to the question about transferring files to the 6300 from PC: it doesn't come with data cable but you can get one on e-bay for cheap; I also got a 2gb micro-SD for £20 GBP.
i just got the phone and i love it but i dont know how to put files from my computer onto the phone since the card is too small and i wasnt given a cable to plug it into the computer...can anyone help me?
well well these people who say firmwear update lol its strange they go quiet when people say where they had it done erm thats because they are talking crap , and they say there is now a menu for screen brightness well this screen is that good if there was a menu for brightness i would need a pair of sunglasses to look at it my 6300 does not heat up batt good dont need a firmwear upgrade it has everything now on it and its best selling phone this month in shops lol like i said it would be so you people ingnore these who say it has this new firmwear they probably live alone and have no life and there upgrade is not available yet but my upgrade was not dew yet so i bought mine cash sim free like it that much bought a second one sim free and i believe nokia have read some of these posts as what these people are saying is fraud lol so they wont be in here much longer lol top phone and when upgrade comes out you can do it by wap , oh how easy lol
The phone starts heating up after using it for more than 3mins. HELP!! Does anyone else have this problem??
where did you get the update spoken to nokia but they say no approved updates have been released
my n 6300 is six days old but ive already notice the battery problem.. it wont last for 24 hrs. specially if your using the radio for a couple of hour.
hey... i checked thru in nokia.com/softwareupdate and keyed in the product code for 6300 which is 0537678... there NO freeware update available! nevermind, i'll go to nokia shop and check. btw, my phone is on version 4.20 (instead of 4.1 as i mentioned earlier - my mistake).
6300 v.s 6288, with the new 5.20 version update, what are the new apps that you recieved
If you buy a rolex watch, you buy for the design and the materials.
The 6300 should be thought like this, your buying it for the quality and design.
It also does have better than average features when compared against other slim phones.
Great phone, I love it, well done NOKIA :)
