its very special and WiFi...wow amazing..but its color sucks
Yes, you can connect to wireless hotspots with a Wi-Fi/WLAN enabled phone.
got the 6300 but 6301 needs a next battery wifi will kill it off fast
to Pikabu or anyone else who knows ! i saw that you know your way arround mobiles
can you please tell me if a Wi-Fi without UMA technology (i.e. Nokia N95) can connect to a "hotspot" or a street wireless network ?
To zen. There is a difference between common user and business user,if you get my point.
Other thing you said i didnt know. But most of the users who are complaing on nokia 6300 have china versions ,but others have European models and no one is complaing,is far as i know.
P.S can you buy a different battery for 6300 ?
This Phone Look's Good !
Nokia as Usual Making *Improvements* from the old Model's lol
first 6300 now 6301 then it was 6230 then 6230i ...they havent made a improvement version of the 6233 ??
anyway 6301 has Wi-Fi aswell ..sheesh ! thats good
WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UMA technology...WOW!!! Nokia, set the trend and show them the direction...
I'll tell you a secret, my friend: I'm actually USING my 6300, that's why the battery drains in a day. As for the production label, it is highly irrelevant where it's made, since Hungary Nokia and China Nokia must match the quality of Germany Nokia and Finland Nokia, but I suppose you already know this.
Once again, the main problem is the battery. There are many phones at the market with 16M color displays, but not all of them manage to keep the handset miserably awake for a day only. I love Nokia, but they really could invest a tiny part of their colossal profit into battery life improving. Otherwise.. well, Samsung & SE will not sit & wait. Neither do I.
andi / zen - you both have a good point. well, saying that you have to charge your nokia 6300 like once or twice a day doesn't mean that its battery is weak. it just does so much for the phone - having a 16M color screen requires alot of power compared to a 256k color screen.
but, nokia 6301 will be having the same battery as of nokia 6300. WiFi / UMA will cause alot of damage to 6301's battery life. nokia should have considered at least improving the battery. if they won't change it before its release, performance is going to be an issue.
UMA is a good feature. But useless if your device has no battery.
Lets hope this one is a better quality build than the 6300. I would love to see 6233 quality in that body.
Does anybody know what is the different between the ordinary WLAN capabillity and UMA? Please explain. Thanks
Why haven"t Nokia added a flash for the 6301 as the screens pixels are superb but you cannot take could photos in dark conditions an improved what i think everyone know Nokia should have done is improved the battery life on this handset,Thats the main fault with all the produces now days they produce nice mobiles with enough features on them but the are putting to weaker batteries on them to use the features which is totally wrong
Where is your phone made ?! Made by nokia or something else ?!
And what do you do with your phone that you have to charge it every day ?.
What a stupid phone! I love Nokia, but seriously, who wants a recycled gadget? The first one was a classic, but this is just dumb. Anyway, it's only the freaks and nerds that need UMA! What the heck??
What's so great with this phone, could someone enlight me? My 6300 needs to be recharged at least once a day, usually twice. The same holds true for 2 other handsets of my friends (which means this model got a battery issue). This 6301 has the same BL-4C, plus Wi-Fi?? If you use it, how many times a day you will need to recharge it, 6 or 7? I understand very well that Nokia's intention is to reduce the costs in order to increase the profit, but why bother.. 6301 is going to be practically useless piece of plastic/metal. Thumbs down for Nokia.
