the phone is good, not great. the battery is fine if you dont use all the features at one time. the software issues are all fixed by updates. physical problems are all you.
I have 6500 for 8 months, and I dont like it. No card slot, bad camera, and batery life is too short.
My old 6230i was much better.
yolo, 29 Oct 2008The most rocking one in my life.the only thing I hate about it is that it doesn't have a memory card slot

The phone is nice except that there is no radio and the battery does not last for too long.
DON'T BUY THIS PHONE. It has a serious design fault - the screen cracks. I don't mean droping it or anything, just with it sitting in your pocket. Its happened to my phone twice now and I've never had it happen with any other phone. After the second time I Goodled it and there's volumes of people had the same problem. Even on Nokia's own website there's pages and pages of complaints about the same issue.

Great phone! If you'll read instruction you'll not have problems with battery or mp3 player... I really recommend it. I recharge my phone once a week or even less often! Just perfect, and the chape so thin!
have had this for 6 months now. Biggest problem is it keeps getting stuck all the while. The screen freezes and goes white. Sometimes on standby it software freezes and you cant get or make calls. very disappointing phone. need to buy another one now. two of my colleagues have similiar issues.
Exuse me for a minute, i bought it from 4 months on lebanon w his battery holds when i'm using it up to 3 or 4 days it's true but the problem in this phone only that when i enter the video icon, the phone restart by him self......
i am very much disappointed with this phone.this is my husband's first gift for me.i bought it only for its nice looking.after purchasing it i found battery is not servicing well n becoming warmer within a minute, its slim but very weighty.
i boought it on 30th september.i found it so hard to enter the sim,and the battery is not good and if one time you enter in the music then it is so complicated to out from it.i am totally disappointed
looks pretty classy. the battery life only last for a day?? on the website, it says about 9 days if you don't use it. and it can be used for talking up to 3.5 h. so which one is true? thanx guys.

This phone is awesome. I've had it for barely a week and I love it. I live in Boston, MA and I use it on the AT@T network. I had a 3G Moto v3xx prior to this and the call quality was terrible. AT&T's 3G network is terrible. I had to hack my v3xx just to be able to turn 3G off. AT&T really scr3wed up by putting Voice on their 3G network, they should have done just data.
Anyway back to this phone. It's small, sleek and sexy. The S40 op sys is great and I'm telling you unlocked GSM is the way to go.
The phone does support US 3G at 850, but where I live there is no 850 3G, so the phone is basically a standard 850/1900 GSM phone. The call quality on this phone is better and there is no delay. For some reason I had a slight delay on my Moto v3xx, it was cr@p.
I actually might get another one for a backup. I was originally going to get the nokia e51 for the gps and wifi, but the 6500 classic is thinner and looks better. That’s what I was going for. Did I mention the call quality was excellent? Unlocked GSM is the way to go.
My wife waited long for this phone.
Finally got it and the middle row of the keypad stopped working.
Got back after repairs, the screen broke.
The speaker is not clear and sound muffled.
I've got a SE W880i - not a day's problem except the data cable which cannot connect my phone to the pc anymore - bad design - LOVE the USB connection of the Nokia
Nice phone but sad to say - not happy
NOKIA 6230i - Still Amazing Phone!!!
