Can any1 assist me? My 6500 slide keeps freezing and not reading my memory card, has that happen to any of u guys? If so pls help a brother out......
regret^user, 18 Aug 2008Yup..same problem as kit23...the display goes off sometimes, and the battery cover loose and it... moreTry pulling the small metal connector beside the camera upwards. This will have a better contact with the small metal attached to the back cover. This should fix the "no memory card" problem. Also try bending slightly the sides of the back cover so that it will have a good fit when you put in on the phone.
don, 20 Aug 2008wats da os in dis pne????nd yah i face al da problems ur facingThe 6500 slide has an S40 OS. Not a smartphone.
The 6500 does not keep its charge. Tried for weeks by charging every day. Although fully guranteed, Axiom Telecom in Dubia has ignored my emails to have it replaced. It is back in the box.
I got this phone about 6 months ago. I've had it before about 3 months, and even then it hasnt worked most of the time. It doesnt send or revieve messages or phone calls!!! It's a great phone, provided you don't want use it to stay in contact with people. Nokia care says they can't find a problem, and keep sending it back to me with the same fault. Eventually my carrier took over and offered me a replacement. Save your self the time and hassle and stay away from this thing!!! Absolute crap!

A very good phone so far(8 weeks),but I would also like to remove the 2 key video call,Is it there because i am on 3 network?
I have just bought this fone & so far no problems I love it I upgraded from th Nokia 6300. I am wondering it won't let me set 2 as a speed dial it keeps telling that its has been set for a video call with a number on my contact list. Is there anyway of deleting the video call setting & make it a speed dial again.
the phone is disgraceful i have had 5 in 2 weekz no one buy iit its a scam ,, a hoax and w waste of money =]
I am so disappointed after reading the opinions some people have about this phone.I ordered it today and I'm expecting it in 2 days. Now I'm beginning to have second thougths. What should I do?
I got my 6500 slide in January 08 and spend weeks at the service center due to massive design faults of the handset right after the purchase. Eventually I got a replacement handset. Hell now if that was brand-new. However, the sliding mechanism is totally below standard. Not only is it very loose, the upper and lower part of the body do not form a nice unit, the upper part also heavily scratches the keypad within a very short period of time. The door of the battery compartment is of equally low quality as it becomes loose easily thus causing malfunction of the memory card. On top of that the software of the 6500 slide appeared to be very unstable and unreliable; resulting in numerous freezes, lockups, restarts during daily usage. Moreover, I experienced heavy lags, meaning the phone would not respond for a few seconds time up to several minutes, rendering it virtually non-operational. In anticipation of dealing with those stupid monkeys at our Nokia center while once more facing the problems described above yesterday evening, I put the build quality of the 650 Slide to the test and threw it onto the concrete flour twice. To my surprise it still worked despite of heavy damage and deformation of the body. I guess that is due to the stainless steal case. I do not regret it after all the trouble I faced with that piece of ****. I will now look into Samsung or LG. In the meantime I will use my K750 which works flawlessly ever since I bought it in Jan 2006.
Conclusion: Do your homework first before you spend your money.
