sir sandman, just bought mine yesterday and i'm very satisfied! yes truly it is a great phone and worth of its price. the sliding is perfect and i don't experience any wobbling or creaky at all.. thanks sandman for your tips!
i think if this mobile had a wi fi option it would be the most interesting mobile in the world....
Hi everyone, does anybody knows where to find some new skin for the music player and how to add them??
And also how to configure my business card because I didn't find it.
And also how to make the touch "2" a speed dial shortcut because mine is for video mailbox.
S40 phone like this one cannot save messages on the memory card. But you can use PC Suite to save your message on the PC.
every one keeps saying its a solid fone with no creaky sounds and perfect sliding mechanism.i own a n95 and one he most important reasons that i want to change it with 6500s is the weak sliding mechanism of n95.but now some of u people say its sliding mechanism is wobbling and a little bit creaky.and its being said by the actual owners.so can u tel me what happened to that perfect sliding mechanism????
noypi: the s40 is great! i used to own a n73 and it's so slow. the lag was terrible. i haven't experienced any lag at all yet with the 6500 slide. even when viewing pics or opening text messages, there's no lag. my phone hasn't even crashed yet or hanged. no problems regarding the software at all. the build quality may take a bit of getting used to since there's a slight wobble and creaking. but you get used to it. porma phone siya. galleria has already i think glorietta might as well.
liz: i'm not familiar with that application. but as far as i know, you can't save to the sd card. all my text messages are saved in the phone's memory. but they don't take up much space.
if you guys know where i can get my hands on a screen protector specifically for the 6500 slide do let me know. :)
sir sandman, is it able to save the text messages in the memory card or do you need an msdrive.sis to divert the text messages to the memory card? symbian 60 ba yan?
can you pls tell me how to change the time stamp on the messages I received? The time that shows in the main screen is correct but everytime I received a message it has a different time stamp which is 3 hrs that the one showing in the main screen..Pwetty pls help.I have tried every troubleshooting that I know of and still didn't work.
guys do you know a good site where we can get nice themes for the phone?
Phone finally arrived in Netherlands, it looks great! It`s a good handset if you like the simple kind of Nokia`s. I think it`s gonna do very well.
I bought this phone - got it cheap too (who u know...) its clearly better than its samsung counterpart. and waaaay better than the classic version. Who needs an iphone when u've got this baby?
pleas i need to know if the flash in this phone can bee used for vedio rec and as a tourch
yea i did not mention the price, i think this mobile price is cheaper then n73 at the beginning stage
i think this is the phone where able to compare with N73. I own n73, but i think this mobile wins base on some spec
- Design (solid slide)
- TFT 16M color
- GPRS Class 11 53.6kbps
- Edge class 10 still able to reach 236.8kbps
- Bluetooth with A2DP
- including more games then n73
- battery stand by time for 310h even using the Bp-5M
I just got this fone last saturday. The phone is really beautiful. I fell in love with it the first time I saw its brochure. It has good voice quality and resolution. This phone actually uses CARL ZEIS device or something to take pictures and video.CARL ZEIS is also being used by SONY.I just can't take my eyes off my phone..
@sandman, thank you very much.. been asking the nokia store in robinson's place but still they don't have it. how's the s40? do you encounter any lags or errors that phone's software?
noypi, i got mine from a nokia store. specifically galleria. it cost me Php 21,460. Mahal alam ko, but worth it. the phone is great! although there's a slight wobble when the slide is open, but you learn to live with it. i strongly recommend the phone. i know greenhills carries them as well, but i feel safer with a nokia warranty so i got it straight from the nokia store. :)
