ive just had something wierd happen to my 6600.I was taking a clip and was waiting for it 2 end after the usual 9 sec, but it carried on untill 25 sec.On full image quality with audio,i checked a few times.Even more strange it takes up less space than the previous 9 sec version on my mmc card.I havnt downloaded any software onto my phone at all.Has anyone else had the same thing happen?????

is there anyway to change the loudspeaker? it juz totally sucks! too soft, even as wave/polyphonic or whatever.. its juz too soft to hear! the wav format also sounds bad! is it possible to change to the N6230 or N-Gage type of speakers??
even when using the earpiece its so soft!

But the Inbox messages are stored in the phone memory. How can formatting the MMC help?

Nokia 6600 not a bad phone, it's features is good, but it's sound worse than Nokia 7650. Need much time to start this phone.

Aaargh! I copied a stopwatch .sis file (mobipaq.sis) to my 6600! that file is stored in my inbox. The problem is that I am unable to delete that good for nothing space occupying file. The file size is around 400 KB :@ and is taking up the 6mb memory of my phone! When I try to delete it, it gives the following error "General: Already in use !" Can someone tell me how to get rid of this file !?

What the lowest price you've paid/seen so far?
T-Mo wants $299, which I'm afraid, is a tad too much for a one year old phone. I've seen it as low as $79 and $99USD with activation & contract. I expect the 6600 price to be dropping, as we are expecting the 6230 soon enough.

How I miss the keyboard on my 9110. Unfortunately, the 9210 was a DOWNgrade and I needed HSCSD, PDA and viewable fax (through add-on app from BitWeen).
Setting up HSCSD has not been smooth - still trying to verify what speed I am really getting. Emails bomb out when sending after 1st 15kbytes.
PC Suite always steals the infrared port, so I have to disconnect it before I can use 6600 as a modem.
Colour screen is nice, small size is nice, web browsing is nice, but the main reason I need it is HSCSD and that setup is problematic.
I'd be interested in your experiences and advice.

ppl have been complaining bout the phone hanging.Mine hasnt done it yet.I checked last night and there were 7 applications running.Press the menu button and hold it down and the runnung app menu pops up.Dont just press the hang up key when finished using something.you must actualy exit it using the exit keys.Pressing the hang up key just minimises it in theorie.I think thats why so many ppl are having problems.

Where can I find a WORKING .Ogg converter!? Every software I downloaded has some problem in it! dbpoweramp doesnt recognize the codec. Ogg Converter software doesnt convert more than 2 files although it says that trial version will convert 10 files. Tried to download audio grabber from www.download.com but that wasnt working too! Can someone please tell me where can I find a WORKING .Ogg converter!!!?

Man this is a Great phone. I have installed so many things in it eg. mp3 player, movie player, unlimited video recorder, extra zooming camera, remote control, explorer, messenger etc etc and many games n themes. The only problem which im having is that the space of the mem card is almost full now and im thinking 2 buy a 128mb card now. I really like to listen mp3 songs and watch video songs on it. Its just like a mini computer and I just cant live with out it. Its the best.

to abcdefg: no you can't play mp3 files as ringtones. but you can convert those files to wav and make that as your ringtone. im using "audacity" to convert mp3 files to wav files. you can also use audacity to edit your mp3s so you can use just a portion of the song as your ringtone because the whole song is just too big of a file.

this is the phone that im using and im liking it very much. it took me a while to get used to the joystick but its all good. applications are all over the internet and the wav ringtones are awsome, the memory is great and i just have no complains about this phone. the shape of the phone fits my hand perfectly. unlike those tiny phones that makes me feel like it could get lost in my palm. there is no built in mp3 player but you can get that online and install the application in your phone. and i dont know why people keep saying it hangs. that never happens to my phone. the camera quality is great! messages are in order. i just love it.
