hey folks... about formatting the phone jus incase if u didnt get your answer clearly still, this is how u do it. thr r 3 ways to format your nokia 6600. 1 is the usual way that u do it from goin into tools>settings>phone settings> original phone settins. the 2nd one is by simply typing in this command on the main screen. jus like as you would type a number. *#7370# by the time u press hash (#) key you shud b able to c a pop up saying if u wanna restore ur phone. this is a softer way of formatting the harder way is *#7780# n the same pop up appears. n remember "DO IT ON UR OWN RISK". do not blame me if u do anything wrong ok. if u do it exactly the way i told ur phone will format. i tried (the softer way) n m still using my phone good as new.
n i would like to give another tip. DO NOT POST YOUR PHONE'S IMEI NUMBER anywhere in the net.

only IF you guys want to format this device then press (from the key pad) (((star, hash, 7370, hash)))
or the other way if your phone 6600 is locked than,
take out your battery, Sim and memory card. then put only the battery inside again and then press and hold these keys for a while (((3, hash, and green key),(the call key))) and then press the POWER key while holding these three keys. now hold and wait for a while until a message appears on the screen ""formatting"".
warning!!! and caution!!! your battery has to be fully charged before performing this operation.

my nokia 6600's bluetooth ic is not working or may be dead. so is it possible to repair the bluetooth ic.

format ur handset by pressing and holding until it starts formating.
turnoff your mobile by battery in-out.
then keep holding #3(answer key that is green coloured on right top side of keypad)
while pressing and holding this switch on your handset :D
thats it be careful your battery must b charged fully for this.
if #3(answer key) dont work then
try *3(answer key) i forget which one is correct but 1 of these 2 is correct.........
