I would say that its signal capabilities is on a Samsung level...not at the bst Nokia level. The same thing is true with the 6500 slide. It is not by any means problematic but people who want to use it at areas with poor reception should NOT buy it!
Bilou, 12 Oct 2008The review say the phone is very soft but some say it is loud. Could other people comment on t... moreI repeat that the earpiece is much louder than the average. Much louder than the N78 that I have. External speaker is also louder than most phones. Very satisfactory in this respect
The review say the phone is very soft but some say it is loud. Could other people comment on the loudness of the phone, both ear speaker during a call and speaker for ringing tones?
Well when I say "hear" I mean I saw photos of the gap and I came across a Singapore forum where users were complaining about this and that it was scratching their keypad and also about the back light bleed from the sides of the keypad.

it doesnt sound like a very good phone....can someone please tell me if the Motorola V3xx is a hellomoto phone.lke when you turn it on it syas hellomoto
I here that there is a problem with the slide, where there is a gap under the area of the d-pad and soft keys.
When you press down on it with the slide open it brings the top part of the slide up as in it wobbles up. Also if you press on that area to close the slide it will scratch the keys on the keypad.
Also that the keypad has a gap aroud the sides of it and lets the back light out as in the back light bleeds out of the sides od the outer most keys.
Is this true?
Just bought the phone..worst than 6500slide. Loudspeaker isnt goo enough..no hotswap for microSD and battery lifetime shorter than 6500slide..
Fprgot to add that, contrary to the "strange" review, the earpiece is VERY loud and the external loudspeaker is way-above-average-loud!
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2008why do you people keep saying its all metal!!!!!! only the battery cover is metal everything e... moreI've had it for two days and I can confirm that only the back cover is steel...also the back of the UPPER slide. It is very well built though and the slide mechanism is very smooth.
how to increase the volume?bcos wen somebody calls i cant hear there voice as loud as other nokia phones...pls send me the reply for this.
Really lovely phone, but according to the review the phone loudspeaker is very soft. And i want LOUD phone, so bye bye.
why do you people keep saying its all metal!!!!!! only the battery cover is metal everything else on the phone is plastic!!!
just got one and its good the only set back is the speaker its not as loud as n81 n95 things but the rest of it overall its a good phone not plastic as many nokia phones out there its pure metal.recommended phone for those who like it simple and yet stylish..great work on the 6600 slide..and impressive user interface very snappy.
I think the only part of this phone that is steel is the battery cover, correct me if Im wrong.
for anybody with the answers to these questions, if you could please answer them whether you have the phone or are certain, i would be very greatful :)
- is the phone rather loud (for example like the n95)
- is it hard to write/text message with on the keypad
- is the battery life rather good
- it says it has nokia maps, does it also have gps? or do you have to use the internet for that.
- has the 3.2 megapixel camera have a grainy appearance as said in previous opinions?
