I am using this phone for about one year.I've made a record in dropping phone on ground, even then i works fine.Rock solid one. I really like the FM radio but the camera is not good.Infrared doesn't work.
I use this cellular phone for about one year since the 2005.
I really like the FM radio but the camera is not good.
ca-42 is more recent, connects with more phones(e.g Nokia 6020),especially those that do not connect thru' dku-5, at least or so I think. May be somebody correct if am wrong.
So.. I am Bulgarian and I know a lot for the mobile phones! You can ask what you want via email email@example.com .. I will answer you for everything if I have enough words in my dictionary .. so I'm waiting .. ;)(I bought Nokia 6610i second hand today ;)
Dude use the DKU 5 cable thats compatible. i am using it from past 4 months.
This phone is with me for over 2 years now. I bought it last September of 2004.
This is a very tough phone. My wife has thrown it to me twice already and of course it didn't hit me. The first time it hit a concrete wall, the second was a cabinet made of wood. The frame suffered a crack but it worked perfectly well after assembling it. Until now I'm still using my Nokia 6610i and will use it hopefully for two more years.
I have been using this phone for over six months now. I have a problem with connectivity; will someone help me connect it to the PC? The CA-42 cable is hard to comeby here and the DKU 2 cable, which available in the market is unfortunately, not compactible to the phone. Will someone help me obtain the CA-42 cable if that is the only way of resolving the problem? Please send your comments to my mail address; that is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
6610i is strong and reliable.Good battery life, lightweighted, snd nice radio reception.
Problem is with the camera.Quality is poor and the picture size is very small.Infrared doesn't work.
This phone is ideal for rough use.I have been using it for 3 years. It fell down a dozen times but it works absolutely fine.If u just wantto receive and speak i recommend 6610i
The infrared of this phone it´s only to send or receive contacts.
Pictures or sound is not possible to send by infrared.
If you guys think your infrared doesn´t work try do send a contact to see if it works.
THIS PHONE ROCKS. i've dropped it a gazillion times, and it still works. even fell into the toilet bowl, and after 2 days it worked! but the design and functions are really boring.
built like a tank!! so happy with it, but what to do, need a new mobile with gud mp3 player and camera..
confused between N73 and SE phones..
This phone is the bomb! i like it =P but need a new one.. But.. my infared doesnt work, all my mates have tried to fix it but it doesnt work, so if thats what you want dont get it... But its a great phone guys =)
i have Nokia 6610i, i don't know how to use infrared, please help me,
this phone is sh*t, don't get it, the camera is rubbish, the buttons are too small, please don't get it!!!
hi...does anyone know how to infrared pics from this phone to other phones...i can't figure it out..it keeps asking me if i want to send through mms not infrared. Please help! thank you
The phone is a bit out dated, but is still a nice phone. Nothing wrong with infrared.
I use it to transfer data to and from my pc all the time. Pics, backup sms, connect to the internet, transfer java midlets ect.
Make sure your infrared port is a "IRDA" port and is enabled in your bios (the setting when your pc starts up eg "Press F2 for setup"). Also get the lastest nokia pc suite software. WinXP should first popup with an Nokia 6610i connected balloon, then Nokia pc suite with detect is.
Hope it helps
i do have problems using this unit since it has nfrared but it doesnt work.how can i have any hard copy of the pic ihave on the phone.
Hi Ishika, this is to inform you that the infrared port is located on the topmost left hand corner of the mobile with a kind of black port which is rectangular in shape.
