can anyone tell me is it possible for 6610i to activate its IR so that pictures and ringtones can be transffered through IR?

well its a great phone.ders only one thing i ddnt like about this phone....SH*T the IR is not working...now how can i transfer pictures ringtones and others...

i'm having this phone two days and so far i have nothing bad to say about nokia 6610i.the most important thing for me is radio and thi phone has it.

I am not able to transfer data or even connect the Nokia 6610i to my PC with a USB port. The port, the wire is all fine as it detects other Nokia models but not my phone. As soon as I connect my cell, Nokia PC Suite 6.4.8 prompts with an error. “Unable to recognize the phone. Data connection error”
Does anyone have a clue regarding this?

Hi. Just a quick question about the nokia 6610i. Ive tried to use the infared to recieve ringtones from another phone, and it just doesnt seem to work at all. So was hoping someone out there could giz a idea on why it isnt working etc. And yep, the infra red is on while iam trying to recieve the tones. Oh and any other tips on this particular phone would be great.

Realy this phone disappointed me ,IR does not work multimedia not easy to use , no transfer for data through Multi media, to any one U should consider these diadvantege before buy

Infrared only work for the trasfer of Contacts. This phone is very basic set. However easy to use...

This phone has FM with awesome clarity and sound effect.However, the camera is not that great. Otherwise quite ok. I would rate this a 6/10

i had this phone used it for 9-10 months.its a good phone.its infrared doesnt work.however is good cam shud have been better.now i gave it to my sis n m planning to go for 6630.i ll say its a good phone.

its a nice fone. though camera is not so gud(only 0.5)pixels and infra doesnt works. the shape is gud. i 'll give 6610i 6.5/10

Can U transfer music with ifrared with the Nokia 6610i

switch from 8250 to this phone 1 year ago.. another great nokia! The buttons are tiered and very easy to push (unlike samsung), the ringing is the loudest so far.. and i've since solve the 'missed call' problem. Well.. i've to agree that the camera quality is bad and the on/off button is hard to reach.. anyway i dun think i on/off it often.. average maybe once a quarter.. the battery life is very long.. charge every 4 days or longer i guess..
