Hi guys, I had this problem too with the PC suite, follow the next steps:
1. uninstall your previous pc suite installs and the cable drivers if you installed them.
2. restart your PC
3. install the nokia PC Suite 6.5 from Nokia.com
4. when the phone is standby press *#7370# and then yes,
* do not forget that it will erase the phone memory. and don't do it when your battery is almost empty.
5. connect your phone with the DKU2 cable and let it do the driver installs (don't touch anything at this moment)
6. restart your PC again and attch the cable (dku2) now you can enjoy the PC suite.

Same thing happened to me like rahul. I downloaded the Nokia PC Suite 6.5 and I can now sync with my PC. All functions work in the software except for sending messages. I cant view / edit / send messages from my PC.
I've been playing with the Muvee making application and it's pretty neat! I'm hoping I can get more muvee styles.
I also want to thank the guy who taught me how to check the firmware version, mine is
V 3.45.113 04-01-05 RM-1. Thanks guy!

yey...i downloaded the pc suite 6.5 from nokia's website and now i can connect my phone to my pc...GR8...

another thing...gettin the firmware change is a bit technical if u havent done it b4...
u can contact ur supplier for firmware upgrade...methinks its done for free or with a nominal cost...

just wondering how do you get the 3.45.113 firmware???... im with vodafone, Ive installed netmonitor now and can switch off 3G, but bit annoying, would like to have the update as it still turns off every so often for no reason???... can someone post a link of where to get the firmware?? or do you have to do this through your supplier??

hey ppl...i got my 6630 today...the fone is with 3.45.113 firmware and is too good at workin...
but the problem starts now...
i got the DKU2 cable and installed the pc suite 6.4 from the provided disc but then the connection manager shows only two options i.e. Irda and serial cable whereas i need to connect it thru USB....
help required desperately...

Shame they put the green 'dial' button on the edge of the keypad. I have to lock the keypad or when it's in my pocket it calls last number dialled. Stupid idiots. They do well with the high tech bit then get that wrong !

Take it to the official Nokia representative in your country/area and they'll put on the 3.45 firmware.

i just bought my nokia 6630 and it is extremely good so far. i rather to trade in my nokia 7710 cos ringtonnes always not functioning. Many times within three months.Now the problem solved...its b'cos 6630.

The website of Nokia didn't indicate that said phone doesn't use an ordinary multimedia card. Based on info, said phone requires a dual voltage reduced size multimedia card. Also the startup time is slower than that of other mobile phones

i dont know if this what you mean but you can remove the 3G icon by going to networks and choosing the "GSM" option.the icon will disappear.

it is an ldr (light dependant resister) when the phone is in light conditions the keypad back light does not come on....
in the dark the keypad back light will come on.....
in theory it should save battery power!

some guy is giving me the name of a site which is registerd in uk andir gives and sends the nokia mobiles for just 20 pounds. i wanted to know is there any site like this and which one is this. or the guy is a cheat. or the site is a fraud. plz reply me soon

hey guys, i've read your complains about this phone. you'd better switch to 6670, its cheaper and has no problems. they have same features except fo the camera, but still you can have the 1.3MP image by using the photoacute application. and by the way the 3G feature is not applicable here in the philippines becasue we only use GSM networks and not CDMA, if you go to korea and japan, you may exloit the 3G feature. thank you.
