"You will never regret buying this phone"... No, not unless you are stuck with crappy Vodaphone 3G coverage & 2.39 firmware !

to Angela L.: The cheapest N6630 I've seen at malls was in cyberzone at megamall...at mega-exchange, its around P23,000...but I saw one store in cyberzone that sells it at P22,000...

How do you change the size or style of the fonts in the display? The fonts in my display are so small its hard to read. When I went around the stores, most models have large fonts. Although the small fonts make the screen appear larger, I hope it can be configured to change with the profile or theme.
forgot to mention: on mine you don't need Net Monitor, it allows switching off 3G from tools/settings/network/network mode. Options are: dual mode/gsm
take care with NET Monitor though!
hi, i got one yesterday. firmware v 3.45.110 02-12-04 RM-1
Is this the latest? The phone it's still not perfect (as everything with a f00ckin' OS) sometimes reboots. Battery is quite pathetic: the phone is full of goodies but if you're using those you can simply carry a damn' generator with you!
In more detail..
Menu-Tools-Manager and look in the Options-Settings, scroll to 'Ftd', make sure you got software installation set for 'On' and not 'Signed only'.
I had exactly same security problem with Net Monitor. Here is the solution... go to the Menu-Tools-Manager and look in the Options-Settings, make sure you got it set for On and not Signed only.

Vodaphone are behaving disgracefully over 3G/2G handover problem. They shouldn't sell any more 6630's on their network until prob sorted becuase they are causing people such headaches with this issue.
I got a 6630 2 months ago from VODAFONE!... since then im on my 4th one cos it keeps cutting out and other bugs, thought id read into it and seen the v3.45 update, i checked and its on v2.39 so to make the battery last longer and get rid of crappy 3G i thought Id update it.... Ive downloaded the NET MONITOR but when i try to install it using the nokia PC suite it come up security error on phone???? what do i have to do to install it??

sorry i'm asking again , but how much longer the battery stay when 3g is closed?
I forgot to post my opinion for the 6630!
I was split between choosing the 6630 and 3230. Functionalities-wise they were more or less the same except for the 3230 has PTT and an FM radio. The 3230 on paper provided better value for money since it was cheaper than the 6600 by at least 30%. I compared the 2 side by side here at GSMArena and if I order phones on the web I would have bought the 3230 hands down.
Since it was a very expensive purchase I decided to hit the stores (Greenhills) to get a feel of the phones. And I am just glad I did. The feel of the 6630 was much better than the 3230 which felt very plasticky and looked like it was stolen from an SE design board. I'm a design guy and I think the 6630's design is a winner from the unapologetic large camera lens at the back to the sensous curvature of the bottom. Considering It looked like a stubbier version fo the 3650 series which I considered to be the ugliest phone ever made, reducing it's length by 3 inches made it more attractive.
I'm from the Philippines and I just bought the 6630 last Friday. I am using Globe, TOuch and Smart networks alternatively but I use Globe primarily.
I would appreciate any help especially from users from the Philippines.
I have trouble sync-ing my phone with the PC. There seems to be no option for USB when I set up the connectivity manager. The manual says I have 3 choices "Web,Cable,Bluetooth" but my phone only has "Web and Bluetooth". I bought a bluetooth device and then I find out the PC Suite doesnt have Bluetooth sync-ing option for connectivity. The Bluetooth device is now just good for sending files to my phone (I should have just bought a card reader). I really need to have it synced with my PC to take advantage of the PC Suite functionalities.
How do you check the version of the phone?
I will appreciate any help you can extend me.
i have a little complaint about Nokia 6630.
my handset before was 6600 and whenever i transfer files (from pc to phone) using the PC Suite like sound files it reduces the size incrediblly. But how come it doesn't happen with 6630? its the same size when it was on pc. great deal of memory can be saved. tsk.
anyone experienced this?
