I have just received this phone from Vodafone in the UK and to be honest if you want to use it for the Video Calling you will be very disappointed.
You get a dodgy stand that you have to attach your phone to, as the phone does not feature an integrated front camera (although the rear one of 1.3 mega pixels is excellent for picture taking).
The screen is a nice size, but due to certain restrictions you cannot upload themes or games via bluetooth as the phone will say that security is not allowing you to install them.
MP3 cannot be used as a ringtone unless you but it from Vodafone Live! or from Jamster or the like.
Overall the phone is nice, but I am looking to change it for the Sharp 902 whilst i am still in my 'Chage your mind' 14 day period.
Hope this helps others wanting to get the phone.
just to answer criistihr's question about the PD-2 flash. its not very good with taking pictures of people unless they are very far away as the flash is too bright so you cant see there face but good for long distance shots if its dark and the video is good. i wouldnt recommend it for taking pictures down the pub tho.
Yeah, i have bought this phone two months ago, but i have sold it within a month, this phone is really problematic... When u have received a song u cant save; The speaker is crap... And still now the software is not stable yet.. think before u buy this phone.
Hi again guys... Is anyone using a 2G sim card in this phone? Does it cause any problem? Like..low reception?
well i bought nokia 6630 1 week ago its really greatttttttttt.does anyone know how to send midi songs via multimedia coz its said unable to insert.i can send image and amr only via multimedia and does nokia 6630 support 512 mb rs dual voltage mmc???????
What I've noticed here is everyone posts a question (sometimes in good English) but no one ever ANSWERS the questions!!
my have a virurse what am i doing
my box have message that i dont send
m planning to buy a phone is this a good buy in terms of features. Is it reliable?
How do you upgrade to the new software? Also, I have the 'auto update' for the clock switched on, but its always 1 hour behind. Any ideas?
The best way to get a reasonable internet connection without buying a data card, nice size but software can be a bit iffy. Every tenth call I recieve seems to make the phone freeze before I answer it.
There was a new softwar released for Nokia 6630 :-
Great News !!!!!!!
got mp3s on at last it just takes a lot longer to respond and download.got rid of the ultra mp3 it stutters a bit on my dance tracks and got oggplay,,its better in the treble than ultra mp3 and stutter free.when i updated files all my .mp4 vids have gone on too so a song finishes and the vid ""audio only"" plays then its back to a song,,not a bad party trick but something ill have to cure.still messing about with it its just the best phone ive had in 8 years tho it is slower than my 3650 which is full up with stuff too.Changing themes for eg takes 30 secs.wayhey
hi guys, i bought this phone a fews days back.Looks good. Gr8 Mp3 player and Speaker. i just had one problem, my phone would restart when the network signal goes low. it din't happen all the time but it is still a problem. Any Solutions.... my software version shows V 3.45.113 Is it the latest??
thank you fletch for your support..ive had a few fones and therefore different memory cards and no problems using a 9 in 1 card reader to drag and drop mp3s on to memory cards ie sd,,memory stick duo,,minisd but i put the 6630 rs dv mmc in and nothing happens at all.i thought here we go again now we have to buy new card readers for the different voltage issue.anyway still have no mp3s on which means i may or may not be right.that said the 128mb size is a good bit dearer than the other formats and bigger sizes not readily available or made yet.it is a great phone tho ..
You need to set 'Length' value to 'Maximum' In the Video settings to get 1 hour
