Noticed that CNETAsia has not been posting new N6630 phone-user comments since last month! I wrote an entry but it was not updated. Anyone knows?
hey guys if you always wanted an fm radio on your nokia 6630 go to http://www.mobango.com to get it. it is compatible with all symbian series 60 phones.
hey "me unknown" the largest card so far is 128mb which is a third party card that just came out. it works really perfect on the nokia 6630 and u can get it at this site http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=118485. enjoy!!
I have the 6630 for 3 weeks now and till now, no problems.
I was looking for the SendoX that never came out here..
I think the 6630 works just fine, perhaps sometimes a bit slow,
but in it’s size has great features and a good camera for photos.
(not so much for video). The only thing that lets me a bit down is the
Battery that only last for 24 hours whit heavy using (games, photos,
using the organizer, etc). Still a great smartphone and I got it in exchange
of a 12 months contract.
Before, I used to think that this forum was a crap but now I intend to have reboot problem while I was half way messaging. I wonder what problems will i face again in future but if it reboots once in a while, it doesn't matter actually due to it's good features, it makes this phone GREAT! Btw nokia6260user. Well if they won't let you test, then it's impossible to tell whether you can write chinese or not.
Can anyone tell me what's the largest rs dv mmcard I can put in my 6630? If you react please give your source in your message.
hi, Linda Lim, I owe nokia 7610. Initially wanted to buy 6630, but after seeing this forum, it deter me from buying. But nokia 6630, feature is the best so far in all nokia phones such as 220 Mhz, 1.3 MP, 1 hr video recording, good sound output. Just curious, how much are u intending to sell?
Hey talker, I have decided to sell away the phone... it just gets warm without any usuage meaning at a standby mode.. and I really dun like to be using a phone which I have to worry whether the heat will burn the phone....and frankly, ppl at Nokia Care Centre are not quite willing to help with the problems... their replies really makes me pissed off... Do you have the same problem?
Hi, Unknown 2005-02-10 14:43:14, thanks for yr reply. I mean when u wan to buy the phone, how do u know whether it can write chinese or not from its outlook? AS some shop do not let u test at all. Thanks...
btw the phone isnt slow if u compare with those older nokia models such as 3660, 6600. nokia only makes a few upgrade for each new phone so that they have more upgrades to make in future.
as for the recording, if u use the memory card. u can record as long as 1 hour but make sure its storage is 64mb n with nothing stored inside.
to nokia6260user, well u can actually tell the difference when u type a message. the font will be slightly smaller. u can also differentiate it on the main screen such as the right/left selection key labels. e.g message, camera. for 6600, i suppose all are the big size font. the smaller version would be harder to see so i still prefer the big one.
Hi... Does this phone have a torch?? I need a phone with a torch as I am a potholer.
I have 2 concerns about this phone. First is the speed, sometimes when i press the message button, it takes a while to open. Its SLOOOOOW. Does anybody have this problem. THis happens even when no programs are open.
Secondly, pre-release everybody was saying this phone has the best camera comparable or even better to SE K700. But when i take pic of video, the image is slightly blurred. It suppose to have the best camera for mobiles. Moreover they said we can take video for 1 hour. RIght now, the max i can take is 22 min, because of the small sotrage space.
By the way has anybody dropped this phone. I usually drop new phones(of course by accident). I have been using this phone for 5 weeks now, no DROPS. Maybe its Nokia design. Just wondering if it is fall safe
When I spoke to Nokia a week ago they denied the existence of any known bugs in the 6630, and refused to even look at a backup file which would generate this bug.
I presumed their technical dept must have known by now, but their customer-facing people will probably be the last to know... and in a company that size, you can never get to speak to the people who you need to.
I've had my 6630 for a month now and it's done a few strange things in that time but generally really pleased with it. Today though it won't let me create/send any messages at all - even email. When I try and get to the point where u put in the number/name of the person to send it to it immediately goes back to the main menu. I've tried switching the phone off and back on and taking the cards out and back in - even the battery but nothing seems to work. Please please can someone put me out of my misery!!
